preaching and parts of western maryland. that is generating bigger storms out to the west -- west virginia. some pretty strong thunderstorms. a lot of that will weaken before it makes it in our direction. that spinning storm will continue to move of rust through tonight and into tomorrow. we're not done with that yet. the forecast just ahead. >> early voting began today in maryland and analysts are predicting strong turnout. >> well, deb, election officials and baltimore counties said they had a great turnout. election officials in baltimore city say 900 people have already cast their ballots early. between now and next thursday, registered voters across the state can vote at any of the 46 early voting locations in the area. if polls are open from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. every day.

>> now your 11 insta-weather- plus forecast with john collins. >> righ tnow we do have a few sprinkler showers up to the west. howard county, long prairie county and some stop along the coastal areas. -- montgomery county and some stuff along the coastal areas. we told you back a little bit and we see the rain that went through here earlier today. we had a period of rain shower activity and some potential for some severe storms and western virginia. this will lose some of its strength as it moves closer to the bay. so it probably will not be severe but we may have a round

of showers and a rumble of thunder this evening. let's move ahead and show you what happened today so far. 62, the high at the airport. once we started getting the rain, we were stuck in the 50's all day long. just over 1/2 inch at the airport. look at the temperatures. this is significant. temperatures in the 50's, a bluish-green shade covering the northeast part of maryland. it turns to a bright green. there is a front down here. temperatures are in the 60's. that is the warmer air that is charging up a stronger storms in this line of storms out in virginia and west virginia. the sun try to heat things up and here is that band of sprinkles and shower activity. here is that front that is trying to push through, the warmer air and the front to the

west. the upper air storm is this swirl back here behind the low pressure center. if it will take the rest of the weekend to get this part through our area. until that is through the area, we have a chance of rain. it looks like the higher chances of rain will be tonight and tomorrow morning. then things taper off. cloudy and cold are right. you might hear rumble of thunder. 62-58, the overnight low temperatures do not change. tomorrow, a lot of clubs, a few showers, maybe some thunder. 65-69 the high. north-northeast winds at 5-10 miles per hour. the statewide forecast shows a chance of rain tomorrow -- is everywhere. with temperatures in the 60's. insta-weather futurecast shares the ring tonight kind of scattered. tomorrow it begins to end. by monday morning, it is moving out and we try out beautifully. although it will be a blustery day on monday. how much rain do we get?
