accused of setting a pit bull resumes today. jennifer franciotti has more. >> jury selection got under way yesterday for a trial that was supposed to begin last may. a large jury pool was called in this case because of the publicity. travers and tremayne johnson are charged with animal cruelty. the pit bull was set on fire and died from her injuries. the first trial ended in a hung jury. animal advocates are encouraged to see this case back in court. >> we need to see this through to a logical conclusion, whenever that may happen to be. we're grateful what happened over this time that moved in a positive direction.

at least four throughout the city. they targeted a radio shack and a jewelry store on liberty heights avenue. >> what the suspects would do would go into the store. one of the suspects would spray the employee with mace while the other would lift the valuable property. >> prosecutors dropped charges in the death of a teenager in carroll county. 17-year-old isiah simmons died while being restrained. they were charged with reckless endangerment when simmons became unresponsive. a detective in the case is on trial for perjury.
