defense, should i not be in jail? >> the trial the two accused of setting fire to a pet -- to pitbull continues today. lowell melser is live with the latest on today's testimony. >> the case has entered its second week and is moving in a very slow pace. we only heard from a handful of witnesses earlier today. testimony monday morning was taken up entirely by baltimore police sergeant in charge of the case he said that he was able to identify travers and tremaine johnson on police surveillance video. the sergeant told the court that the two people seen running away, burning dog on the video were the johnson brothers. he said that he knew so because of their mannerisms, which she was familiar with from his six years on patrol in the 1600 block of north gilmore were the burning occurred. the sergeant testified that evidence was gathered from the scene including a red gas can

be mixed with snow in garrett county tonight and tomorrow. some interesting spring weather developing across the mid atlantic at this hour. there is a fire weather threat through 8:00, a red flag warning covers all of maryland's that garrett county. means that atmosphere is very dry and the ground is very dry. with the brisk winds continuing to try things out, a warning has been issued, and in -- enhanced threat of brush fires through the early evening hours. 25 in salisbury. we have had winds gusting at westminster over 30 miles an hour throughout the day and even stronger at times. that brisk northwesterly wind to contend with is dragging in some colder air. quickly dropping to the 50's, 40's, and out in western maryland it got into the 30's this afternoon. in allegheny county there is a freeze warning tonight. temperatures are expected to get down into the 30's tonight with a freeze warning in effect.

partly cloudy, a chance for an isolated shower or sprinkle. close by morning 37 in the suburbs, 47 downtown. sunset at 7:39. a swirl of cloud here in eastern canada, low pressure dragging the chilly air out of central canada down through the mountains to our west and covering new england. we are in the flow around the area of low pressure to the north and that will keep chilly temperatures in the region through midweek. there are little weather disturbances that pick up moisture from the great lakes and generate the scattered showers we see especially during the work of the afternoon. a patch of showers move through tonight, then off the coast in the early morning. tomorrow afternoon, few more isolated showers will pop up as the atmosphere becomes unstable. on wednesday, some scattered showers may be mixed with a little snow.

>> the man accused of killing three people in tulsa, oklahoma, appeared in court this morning. they face charges of first- degree murder and attempted murder. the victims were believed to have been chosen randomly in a predominately black neighborhood. officials are still investigating whether the shootings or racially motivated, and say they are shocked at what happened. >> it sickens me, it angers me. this is not what tulsa, oklahoma is about. >> bond for each man was set at roughly $10 million. a formal arraignment is scheduled for next week. >> a 26-romantic is accused of drugging and raping a 14-year- old girl. barry simms joins us live from central booking with details on today's hearing. >> according to the 14-year-old alleged victim, she was raped in the men's basement. she claims that -- supposedly happened during three days during the last weekend in
