comment as he was escorted out of the courthouse under armed guard. he was acquitted of all charges in the case. we're live outside the courthouse tonight. >> an anne arundel teacher is facing 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to having sexual relations with students. jeffrey speers accepted a plea this afternoon. he was teaching english when he had numerous encounters with three students, two of them during and after school hours. on one occasion, he drove to a student's house. he will be sentenced at the end of the month. >> there are new developments in the fatal shooting of a 13-year- old girl last month when her friends were play with a rifle. done charges have been filed against a relative of one of the boys involved. -- gun charges have been filed against a relative of one of the boys involved. >> a warrant went out for

failing to appear in a drug case. now the charges are more serious. she was shot and killed march 3 in baltimore. police arrested a 12 year-old and 13-year-old and charged with involuntary manslaughter. his half brother is charged with a gun violation. investigators do not believe armstrong was involved in the shooting. they do believe the gun is his and he is the reason the gun was in the house when she was shot. forensic evidence links armstrong to the weapon. the gun is similar to this 22- caliber rifle made to look like an automatic rifle. armstrong was convicted of felony assault in 2009, making it illegal for him to possess firearms. it is also charge of reckless endangerment. the gun was found in the car of the city police officer. he remains suspended as a result of the investigation.

surely be a highly charged emotional proceeding. if the case does go to trial, his attorney says it is not likely to happen until sometime next year. wbal-tv 11 news. >> investigators are trying to determine what caused a tractor- trailer to jackknife on the beltway this afternoon backing up traffic for 7 miles. we were over the scene just after noon on the topside of the beltway. both sides of traffic were backed up to providence road. crews had to work quickly to contain a fuel spill. we're told everything is running normally now. imagine you are at a convenience store when you look around and there's a car inside the store. that is what happened in part dale -- parkdale. rob roblink has details. >> the driver of the car thought

he was applying the brakes when he was pushing the gas pedal. the car went into this store, not just breaking the glass, but after driving into the store. no one inside was injured. the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital. work crews were here cleaning up the damage. you might think this is unusual, a car crashing into a business. joe says it is not the case. >> it happens more than you would think. >> this is a big one. >> i think so. i have not seen something like this in a couple of years. the first one i did was a big one. other than that, no. he was all the way in there. we have seen one where they drove all the way into the store and hit the counters. >> customers were impressed with the drama. >> i thought they might have put

are the results of driver error. >> a suspected bank robber is tracked down and behind bars. david hayes is charged with robbery and theft after police say he walked into the pnc bank in forestville and demanded cash. it was breaking news yesterday. an aviation unit tracked his vehicle. state police set up a perimeter on the ground. authorities were able to apprehend him near the walmart on bellaire road less than 30 minutes later. >> fire investigators are trying to figure off -- out what some of the blaze last night and destroyed three homes. it broke out thursday night. two of the damaged homes were vacant. the third was occupied. everyone did get out safely. investigators say the fire started in the vacant building but they're not sure how.
