at forest: phones. -- for stone phones. >> police arrested a man for assaulting his roommate with a handgun. douglas barnes was taken into custody for the attempted shooting of his roommates. the victim says after he tried to get away, barnes fired rounds into his bedroom. barnes is being held at the detention center pending a bail review. the investigation continues into the case called -- up in smoke. police want to know who torched a speed camera on rolling road. the camera was set on fire and that it will be investigated as a first degree malicious burning. no word on any suspects. today marks one year since the

body of felicia barnes was discovered. authorities found the body in the river miles from the home of relatives where she had been visiting in 2010. the death has been classified as a murdered but no arrests have been made. dental records confirmed that the remains found buried under a shed yesterday are those of a woman who vanished 21 years ago. details are emerging from the cold case investigation. >> it was more than 20 years ago when robert report jarrett did his wife christine missing. -- jarrett reported his wife christine missing. he said she left the house on foot. later she was reported missing by her family. detectives noticed there was some tension in the couple's

relationship. police thought he was a suspect but lacked probable cause to inspect his property. court documents reveal that in late 1997, and he was able to declare her dead. among those in notified were life insurance companies and the social security administration's. jarrett remarried and the women lived in the same home where he lived with his first wife. then, in early 2007, they began having their own marital problems, taking out a restraining orders. robert's was denied and she fell to appear for her hearing. they split. they filed for divorce last year. jarrett moved out of the house and he was staying at a home in calvert county which was registered to a woman named robin. it also showed that jarrett was

pulled over last year was staying in calvert county and later received probation. the split was the break in the case, the one police had been waiting for for 21 years. police paid a visit to cheryl and asked if they could search the property. she said yes and that is when they made the gruesome discovery. according to documents, located in a shed under the floorboards and covered with concrete where the remains of christine jarrett. jarrett was arrested and charged with her murder. we tried to speak with most of his sons, when who lives in baltimore county. the other in howard co. -- county. but we were unsuccessful matured >> get off the property. get off the property. >> friends and family gathered to say goodbye to a 22-year-old mother killed earlier this week.
