a judge set shayona davis' bond at $750,000. she was called an extreme risk to the public. the st. patrick's day beating made its way to youtube. police say davis is the person gyrating on the victim and beating him with her high- heeled shoe. the man is punched, knocked to the ground, robbed, and stripped of his clothes. according to court testimony, 20-year-old davis lives with her grandmother and 1-year-old daughter. she is unemployed and is expected to graduate from an alternative school in june. she was arrested on friday after a public police search and charged with first- and second-degree assault and armed robbery. >> she was charged with armed robbery because she used the shoe as a blunt-force object. >> another suspect, aaron parsons, turned himself in to police days ago. police are looking for two more

to a handgun charge after firing three shots of a man back in 2010. a jury found travers and his brother not guilty in the burning death of a dog. a man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for murdering his girlfriend. she had been missing for more than a year. a jury found her boyfriend guilty earlier this year. >> detectives are investigating a suspicious death in northeast baltimore. the body was discovered on monday afternoon. police are not releasing much information about the victim. detectives are handling the case. >> an accident between a school bus and a box truck. this happened in dundalk around 3:00 yesterday afternoon.

woman seen in this video. at one point she was beating him with her high-heeled shoe. during the duration of the recording, the man is punched, knocked to the ground, and stripped of his clothes. davis was arrested on friday and charged with first- and second-degree assault and armed robbery. >> she was charged with armed robbery because she used the shoe as a blunt-force object. >> another suspect, aaron parsons, turned himself in to police. investigators received calls from people who recognized him from the video. police are still looking for two other suspects. >> people saw how outrageous the video was and they picked up the phone and went on their computers and they were able to help investigators identify these individuals. >> no one came to the door at the baltimore home where davis lives. she lives with their grandmother and her 1-year-old daughter. she is unemployed, has a

the youth vote. tara mergener has our report. good morning. >> that is right. the candidates are honing in on young people who are concerned about mounting debt. it is a key issue that could sway the college vote. mitt romney -- >> i think young people will understand our party is the party of opportunity and jobs. >> and president obama -- >> we should be doing everything we can to put higher education within reach. >> are battling for the hearts of young voters. they helped support candidate obama to victory in 2008. according to a georgetown university survey, less than half are likely to show up at the polls this time around. jobs and unemployment are cited as their number-one concern. the president kicks off a tour today. it aims in getting congress to extend low rates on -- low rates

on government-subsidized loans. >> if congress doesn't act, interest rates on some student loans will double. >> because of the tight labor market, many graduates are struggling to find jobs and are falling behind on student loans in the process. parting ways with some republican lawmakers who don't like the $6 billion price tag, mitt romney supports the measure to keep student loan rates down. this is a policy in which he and the president agree. >> i support the effort to extend the low interest rate on student loans in part because of the poor conditions in the job market. >> without an extension, interest rates would jump from 3.4% to 6.8%. the white house said that would cost students $5,000 over the next decade. >> tara mergener, thank you.

>> welcome back to 11 news today. 6:44. fire officials have identified the chemicals that are inside a canton warehouse that went up in flames over the weekend. a thousand gallons of sulfuric and nitric acid or insight on sunday night. fire crews had been diluted in the leaking acid in order to protect the environment. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death. a body was discovered on monday
