no problems on the northwest corner of the beltway. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> are big story comes from a breaking news overnight. police made an arrest in the murder of phylicia barnes. >> this comes more than a year after her body was found. kim dacey is live with the developing story. >> good morning. we don't have a lot of details. police did confirm that last night they arrested michael johnson in the debt of phylicia barnes. he is the ex-boyfriend of phylicia barnes' older sister. she went missing from our home and north carolina in december of 2010. her body was found a few months later. medical examiners ruled her death a homicide. the attorney for michael johnson confirms his client was taken

into custody. he was the last person to see phylicia barnes alive. there was a vigil on the one- year anniversary of the day she was missing. police said they were making progress in the investigation but would not being specific. the family expressed hope that the killer would be found and brought to justice. >> it was around this time when we were calling and crying. we still don't know what happened. we're just praying and we have faced that justice will be served. >> michael johnson was arrested in connection with phylicia barnes' disappearance and death. prosecutors will be making a statement and releasing more information later today. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> police are looking for information about a shooting in

west baltimore. it happened just before 11:00 on harlem avenue. a man was shot and taken to the hospital. no word on the victim's condition. >> the mother accused of stabbing her infant is now behind bars. she allegedly stabbed her daughter in the face and neck at and east baltimore social services office on tuesday. before the stabbing, thomas said she felt she could do a better job of taking care of her daughter they foster family. >> the mother became irate and reached into her back to grab a knife that she was able to conceal and sneak into the facility. she stabbed her infant daughter multiple times in the face area and the neck. >> she is charged with assault.
