today. court testimony revealed new details on the case against michael johnson. bail tonight for michael johnson, charged with the 2010 murder of phylicia barnes. this circuit court judge determined that he was a flight risk and a threat to public safety. phylicia barnes's family and friends believe the judge made the right decision. >> if you are guilty, it will come out. >> court testimony revealed johnson and phylicia barnes treated as many as 500 messages the summer before seat disappeared. phylicia barnes complain to another sister that she was uncomfortable with johnson. the prosecution read correspondence between johnson and a new girlfriend. conflict. he is currently a member and was not only the first to arrive at the scene, but maybe the only third party who saw what happened between naps werdesheim and the alleged victim. he responded to the 3200 block for a suspicious person. he said he saw an african- american male teenager walking up and down the road, walking of driveways, looking into cars, and approaching front doors. the witness told the court a second unit arrived with eli werdesheim inside. the witness said he saw werdesheim and the alleged victim had a heated conversation. the alleged victim swanee piece of wood at werdesheim's head. werdesheim dodge did and brought the alleged teenage victim to the ground.

he then approached, calling the situation the most serious he has ever had to deal with. he watched as they offered first aid to the teenager. up to this point, prosecution witnesses have not been able to confirm what happened after the verbal confrontation between werdesheim and the teen. the werdesheim brothers are charged with false imprisonment, second-degree assault, and use of a deadly weapon. all misdemeanors in this particular case. the case resumes monday morning. >> a 20-year sentence was handed to eight former high school teacher you had sex with three students while on the job. a judge suspended all but seven. authorities say jeffrey sears had encounters with a student both on and off highs school grounds. he taught english and was a basketball coach.

after serving time in prison, he will be on probation. >> the unthinkable happened in a building that was considered safe. a mother stabbed her daughter right in front of a social worker. the child is recovering at johns hopkins children's center. state officials said they are enhancing security procedures. we are live in east baltimore with more. >> state officials also tell us security measures were in place and were being followed when this happened. a child is in fair condition with stab wounds to the neck and chest. her mother is in jail. security is getting tighter at this office. department of human resources secretary offers concern for the eight-month-old who was stabbed multiple times by her mother. >> our thoughts and prayers remain with the young child. >> how did kenisha thomas get a knife through security?
