rain is likely to start out. you can see some showers and thunderstorms coming out of frederick and they are heading over towards baltimore within the hour. in the western suburbs, you may hear some thunder with this rain. i think it will clear up during the middle of the day. the storms may come back late in the afternoon. high temperature near 80. we will check the seven-day forecast going all the way into the weekend. >> good morning. once the rain arrives, we will see what happens on the road. 61 through the parkville region. problem free over towards the west side down towards 70. the major roads are doing well and that includes 97 through the glen burnie area. 95 looks pretty good down

county appeared not a lot happening on the eastern suburbs. this is all moving from the west to the east. everybody will get some rain to start the day. this is the first batch of rain that will come through today. here is the first batch we are experiencing. rain should taper off later this morning. in other line of thunderstorms from st. louis will visit us late in the afternoon or this evening. we will get another batch of rain. the weather should be ok in the middle of the day. we'll get some sunshine. that will make the temperatures jump. we are nearer 60. 59 at the airport. we'll be close to 80 this afternoon. maybe the low 80's. 76 to 81 for the temperature

>> welcome back. 60 degrees downtown. we have some showers and thunderstorms rolling to the area. you'll probably see some lightning around baltimore to start the day. let's look at hd doppler. the heaviest rain is not east of baltimore. we have some heavy thunderstorms and some moderate rain stretching up into baltimore county. these showers and thunderstorms will continue to march to the east. it is not raining at the eastern shore and yet but it will be in about 30 minutes. scattered showers and thunderstorms to start the day. they should taper off around 8:00 or 9:00, and they may come back late this afternoon or this evening. it warm day, 80.
