the police department stands behind the actions of the officers. >> the tape was not all that alarming to me. i saw people in this street. the officers arrived to try to get them settled. >> i covered my face. i was not resisting arrest. i was just laying there and they kept on spray me. >> threatt plans to file internal affairs compliance. a key correctional officers face prison time for the beating of a woman in their custody. the jury convicted two people with conspiracy charges. one was convicted of second- degree assault and reckless endangerment. they joined at least two others in the been the victim. she struggled with police several times. she was treated at a hospital for multiple facial injuries.

occupy wall street protesters are calling for a world wide strike. the people who occupy new york zugotti parker calling for strikes of workplaces and schools. a boy is in stable condition after being treated for multiple stab wounds. the boy managed to flag down an officer at about 7:15 and told him that he had been attacked by several suspects. anyone with information should call the hartford county sheriff's office. >> it might be the first day of may, but i think it feels more like the summer season. temperatures in the mid 70's.

>> this video from houston shows two men setting a bar on fire while patrons were barricaded inside. they were removed for fighting shortly before the fire. you can see them barricading the door, dousing the building with fuel. no one was injured. they have identified one of the suspects who is charged with felony arson. a girl's middle school lacrosse team has been suspended, accused of using racial slurs. the team in question was up by 14 goals when the alleged slurs were said. after investigation, they decided to suspend the team. >> i think that race relations in our country is a hot-button issue right now i think they punish first. >> it does not surprise me that kids are saying these things. i think that you hear in a lot,

>> the baltimore city council has approved a measure approved by the mayor to reduce the property tax rate by 20 cents. an owner occupied home assessed at $200,000 would see an annual tax reduction of $40 in 2014.

it would grow to $100 by 2020. this would be paid for through reduced city spending. delta air lines makes an unprecedented purchase in the hope of cutting jet fuel. they plan to buy a system from conocophillips. this would allow them to cut their fuel bill by $300 million a year. the subsidiary will spend $100 million to make changes to the refinery in order to maximize production of jet fuel. this is as domestic airfares reached the highest level on record as last year. the report from the federal bureau of transportation shows u.s. air fares jumped more than 8% in 2011. the nation's largest airlines have approved three fare hikes this year, setting a spike in fuel costs. >> now, your insta-weather forecast.

>> after being stuck in a cool trend, and looks like the warm weather has taken over and it is the first day of may. with temperatures like this, it might as well be the first day of june, maybe july. 79, downtown at the inner harbor. we're expecting temperatures to at least get to a 80 degrees. it is likely to get to the mid 80's out there. looking at the current weather patterns, we can see that the clouds have kind of cleared out. we are starting to see some sunshine. the thickness is moving over the day and we will see some iceland clouds pushing into the west from baltimore. we might even see more sunshine today than what you were expecting. we have an ongoing battle right now between the warm and the cool air. this is what we have a warm

front pulling over the area. frontal boundary separate the air masses. this same boundary has stuck around the entire week. this has been going back and forth are temperatures have been shifting a little bit. right now, we will get to the warmer trend. for the warm air pushes in. that is what is going to be causing this warming trend. you can pick up that boundary across the nation as 50's 60's, warm weather to the south. the cool air is hanging back. we will stay in that warm air as we head into tomorrow. we already had showers this morning. as we put this into motion 3, 4, 5, maybe some isolated thunderstorms. that is definitely a possibility.
