this is what it looked like in the night sky above tokyo. now, eventually across the western u.s. at least it looked like the night sky it's called a ring of fire eclipse this which the moon passes in front of the sun and leaves a bright ring on the edges kind of like little diamonds. that's what that kind of looks like there. it was a band we didn't see it here on the east coast. you could see a little in the mississippi valley and that's about as far east as the shadow got. the ring of fire itself was a little farther west than that so some interesting stuff. and kind of an odd thing in meteorology, too. we're getting an early season tropical storm here alberto and this is what it looked like at 11:00 this morning. the eye of the storm was evident and most of the thunderstorm activity was on the west side of the storm as it spun around counter clockwise now you see it shifted to the south. it hasn't gotten weaker here the clouds look darker but the picture shifts over to infra

what happened another gorgeous day plenty of sunshine. high temperatures once again made it into thele 0s and the 83 degrees was the high at the airport, 85 at the inner harbor. no rain measured yet. the green areas indicate ratings that have dropped into the 60s. the blueish shade beginning to see a few 50s in the mountains. our satellite image shows the rain kind of limited and here's this moisture coming in from the east off the water that's beginning to push into our area. there's that low pressure center near the mouth of the chesapeake bay. so that will be a component of our weather tonight and tomorrow and then this cold front comes in to give us an extended chance of rain as we go into the middle of the week so our forecast cloudy skies showers tonight 59-63 the overnight low tomorrow, 68-7

kind of cloudy easterly winds periods of rain maybe a thunderstorm in the forecast boaters in the bay east winds 5-10 knots. bay water temperatures in the 70s. here's the seven-day forecast on tuesday and wednesday we still have rain chances still up there around 40 or 50% or so. our temperatureless start to climb because more sun will come into the mix and the rain becomes more scattered. at the end of the week the rain chances are really down they're still there but really widely scattered by the weekend we look dry and back in the 80s for a high. >> thank you. we're still talking about the preakness. >> i want to talk about a story you get your program how do you put together the best? where do the numbers come from? where do the numbers come from? it's frank and three guys.
