this is a greenspring. inner loop traffic is not bad at all. very light towards the j.f.x. this is the j.f.x. at 41st street. we will let you know once the delays start to develop. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> a pair of overnight shootings have kept police busy this morning. the first happened around 11:00 p.m. last night. police say the suspect left the scene in a green or black- colored vehicle. 90 minutes later, there were reports of a deadly shooting on carry street. the victim died at an area hospital. anyone with any information should call baltimore city police. police are searching for a man

they say raped a woman. >> kim dacey is live with the disturbing details. >> investigators say they don't have much to go on and are looking for possible witnesses. the victim was walking home by herself downtown. it was around 1:30 saturday morning when she noticed a man following her, so she crossed the street. he crossed after her and dragged her into an alleyway between two homes. she told police the man threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. she was able to fight him off and took off running. she was not able to get a good description. police are hoping somebody noticed something out of the ordinary. >> it is busy area that time of night. there are restaurants and bars. cabdrivers try to pick up fares. we are hoping somebody saw something.

>> police are also checking with businesses in the area to see if the man was caught on surveillance tape. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> a third person is in custody. a woman turned herself in on monday. she faces charges is on distributing narcotics. a clinic was at the center of the i-team investigation. two people are charged with operating the clinic. a man is convicted in eight murder for hire plot. dante jeter faces a life sentence without the possibility of parole. shontay joyner-hickman testified she paid jeter $1,000 to kill the dentist. >> a recent decision by the

naacp to defend same-sex marriage is not sitting well with some of its membership. called it a constitutional issue. many african-american churches who oppose the union's could not disagree more. >> they would turnover in their graves if they knew this naacp board has come out for gay rights. has nothing to do with civil rights. >> the delegate is one of the leaders of the effort to get the referendum on the bout to defeat same-sex marriage. >> a church was attacked in middle river. there was damage to a church sign and several broken windows. vandals have targeted this

church several times over the past year. >> the money we will spend on repairs we could abusing to do outreach programs. >> it is a day of reflection in joplin, missouri. a deadly tornado touched down one year ago from today. one year later, the committee continues to rebuild. >> the city of joplin has come a long way in a year, thanks in part to the federal government, volunteers, and the persistence of people. >> the road has been hard and the day has been long. >> president obama told the high school class of 2012 to use their experience. >> that is the spirit that allowed all of you to rebuild the city. that is the same spirit we need now to help rebuild america.

>> a monster tornado came through a year ago, shredding homes and businesses and leaving the worst death toll in six decades. >> not just for today but for the long haul. support the city of joplin. >> the white house released a statement saying since the tornado struck, the government approved more than $20 million to help victims, and $40 million in low-interest loans for businesses. >> it will come back bigger, stronger, everything. it will take a mountain of time. >> and it has. many businesses are not fully operational yet, and hundreds are living in fema trailers. joplin has made great strides with hundreds of volunteers. >> it has been pretty traumatic. >> doing the best we can. this is a strong town. >> joplin will break ground on
