memorial day weekend. keep your eye on traffic and gas prices. gas prices are going down. nearly seven under 50,000 marylanders are expected to travel this weekend and almost all those folks will be driving. that number could spike even higher if gas prices continued to fall. where are the cheapest gas prices around? >> if you're planning to go to ocean city, the cheapest gas in the state is $3.52 on the eastern shore. if you travel in ocean city, the your guess what you're down there. it is a few cents cheaper. >> that was as of yesterday. we saw a gas at $3.49 a gallon in this section of town and finksburg, $3.45. it is nice to see the gas prices go down.

were called to york road and police say they found one man shot. he also died. sky team 11 was flying over the third incident which were brought u.s. breaking news. police say two man and woman were sitting on a porch on a west fayette street when somebody walked up and started shooting at them. all three were taken to hospital. the woman is in critical condition. police are still trying to determine whether any of these shootings are connected. anyone with any information is asked to call baltimore city police. >> police say a group of teenagers assaulted the clerk working at a convenience store on light street. it started with a company promotion for free slurpees.

activities around florida and offshore. forecasters are looking at to postulate become a tropical feature of some sort in the next 24 to 36 hours. we had an early start with the hurricane season so far this year. the hurricane center has put out their outlook for the 2012 hurricane season. it is about average. nine to 15 named storms and one to three major storms were to be a category 3 or higher with winds at more than 110 miles per hour. our specific forecast for today is kind of tropical feeling. partly cloudy skies. an isolated afternoon storm. a higher chance of the eastern shore. south winds 5 to 10. clouds are breaking up.
