weather is going to cause some traffic delays. if you are heading westbound into the mountains, that may be the smoothest ride as far as the weather goes. temperature is up for 70's, a partly cloudy skies. on the other side of the state, we see a little bit of shower activity. on your way down to ocean city, you might run through a brief little shower. that will probably pop up again in some spots tomorrow. look at ocean city. the wind is coming off of the ocean. your complete ocean city forecast and for the baltimore area coming up in just a few minutes. >> days of violence erupts in baltimore city and leading to people dead and eight others wounded by gunfire. >> police will be up their presence this holiday weekend.

>> police are dealing with targeted shootings and with mark/mobs. one is struck little italy last night. in the past 72 hours, police responded to seven shooting scenes, the violence that left two dead. authorities characterize this level of crime as intolerable. >> i want to caution people, you will have spikes. there is no way to prevent that. >> the primary victims were targeted. a murder victim found near boil the college had been shot multiple times. -- loyola college has been shot multiple times. police responded to a triple shooting that left a man dead. he suffered several gunshot wounds to the chest. gunmen it emerged from an alley. >> the motive in this case, two of these individuals per known

david brown was using the internet site to trick victims and to meeting him. that is where he would pull out a gun and rob a prospective buyer. when the police nabbed him today, brown was using a public computer at a downtown library. >> we know the identity of the marines found dead in his barracks on wednesday. officials tell us that the 19- year-old was an active member from north carolina. he had been assigned to the defense information school since february. investigative -- the ncis investigates all non-combat deaths of core members. this weekend is the chance for all of us to pause and remember our brave service women and men. many continue to answer the call. today, 60 md. national guard soldiers are the latest euros putting themselves in harm's

participating in an indenture race in virginia. it started to storm and a tree fell on him. >> i see him lying face down. he was not breathing. he was unconscious at the time. we had to do our best to keep them alive. >> kevin credits his friends for saving his life, but his back was broken. through it all, he had one recurring thoughts. >> from the beginning, i was hoping that i would be able to graduate with my class. >> after going through a lot of red tape, he got word that he was allowed to return to the naval academy. >> it was one of the happiest times in my life. >> as scheduled, his family will be in the bleachers tuesday

beach yet. that is likely to change over the course of the next day or so. let's see what is going on. temperatures, low 70's along the coastal area. there are some showers inland. so far, no lightning shown up with these shoppers. it is possible that a thunderstorm or two may develop. forecast for down at the beach calls for temperatures in the 70's. the surface temperature down ocean city, there you go, a 39- 63 degrees. it is quite chilly in the the water. pretty nice comment typical spring weekend shaping and down the coast. 83 was the high temperature at the airport. 76 is normal.
