days after a tornado touched down in harford county, the path of destruction is still visible. downed trees, damaged homes, and caught the buildings, one of them an auto-detailing shop in fallston, collapsed on the honor. he was sent to the hospital with serious injuries. >> he has a rod and some pins in his leg. >> harford county government officials say it could have been worse. >> it was about a mile-and-a- half area that the tornado travelled, about a quarter of a mile wide. very fortunate that the number of residences in that area had not been hit harder. at that occurred, had the storm taken a different path, or in the middle of the night, it might be different. >> the cost of the damage could

be more than $1 million. they credited a quick response time an emergency preparedness training for keeping interest to a minimum. >> -- keeping injuries to a minimum. >> we dodged a bullet with this storm, but nothing in the world is better than preparedness. the emergency preparedness measures taken by individuals pays dividends. >> bge reported 20,000 customers without power, but as of last night, at they reports that all of them have their power restored. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the national weather service does continue to survey all of those areas damaged to see what caused the damage. the bank are surveying the areas that the worst damage -- they

our survey in the areas that had the worst damage winds of 90 miles per hour or stronger. tornadoes near damascus had a path length of about one mile long. sunshine is out now, as the cleanup efforts continued. a little breezy. gusts up to 21. as we head into the afternoon, temperatures should be in the mid-70's. maybe a chance for showers today. still an unsettled weather pattern, and that will be sticking around for the next couple of days. we will talk about when it finally ends in the seven-day forecast. >> baltimore city police are investigating an overnight shooting in northwest baltimore. it happened at the 3600 block of the velar ave. an adult male in his 20s was shot in the head. he is being treated at a hospital. no word on his condition. police are looking for information in a number of other crimes during the week ended a

26-year-old man and woman were walking down a pimlico avenue when a man approached them and ask for money. the man pulled out a gun and shot him in the head. the suspect fled from the scene on foot crater saturday night, police responded to a stabbing at lafayette avenue just after 11:00. antonio madison was stabbed several times in the back. according to police, he was arguing with a woman, who got her brother and of. -- involved. the brothers stab at madison, and he was rushed to hospital, where he later died. if you drive in baltimore county, listen up. there will be five new speed cameras and the following locations in the coming days -- winans elementary, lockerman academy, saint ursula's. once the cameras are up, motorists will be issued

westbound on wilkens avenue, get off and hit the inner loop of the beltway. reporting live with sky team 11, i am captain roy taylor. >> george zimmerman, the man accused of killing trayvon martin, is back in a floor that jail cell. the judge revoked his bail, saying that he and his wife lied to the court about their finances so they could get a lower bond. the former never heard watch volunteer it faces second-degree murder charges in the death of the unarmed teenager. more than 150 people are dead after the crash of a jet in an algerian town. -- nigerian town. was approaching the airport when it plummeted into the middle of a downtown business area. the nose up the jet ended up in an apartment building. officials believe there may have been casualties on the ground as well.

>> in today's "consumer alert," a recall that could affect how you make your morning coffee. thousands of black & decker coffee makers are being pulled off of shelves. the company says that the panel can break off of the pots. the makers were sold nationwide from july 2008 on and ran between $50 and $80. starting today, the usda will expand efforts to find a dangerous bacteria in ground beef. it will test the meat for six additional strains of e. coli. most of the strains are harmless. these new tests are designed to

treat food borne illnesses. the price of prescription medicine is going on for some patients. german companies are passing on -- insurance companies are passing on extra fees to people who are using them. what does this really mean for patients? >> the cost of prescription medication would be out of reach for many families if it wasn't for insurance. >> i would be bankrupt, completely. >> but she is able to afford her chemo drugs because she is injured and makes a regular coach pa -- copay. >> three tiers of copay. lois is generic. >> that is followed by preferred brand name drugs. some insurance companies have added a fourth tier not based on

mountains. we have a strong breeze over the north and northwest. pretty interesting to see it from up above rather than just looking up in the sky. stronger or out of low pressure moving off of the coast. -- stronger area of low pressure moving off the coast. this will be affecting the weather the next couple of days. increasing winds trade winds out of the northwest are helping to increase the clouds. another area of the pressure is building over this llarger low pressure system. by the weekend, we should be looking for it to dry out as high pressure builds in. you can kind of pick out that area of low pressure. more of a clockwise flow to the

south of this. energy is moving back into the ohio river valley and the mid atlantic as well. this little patch of energy could bring as showers today -- bring us showers today. the winds are picking up on the backside of that low. 21-mile-per-hour wind gusts at b.w.i. marshall. stronger winds as you head towards the lower eastern shore. 30 miles per hour in salisbury. temperatures in the low seventies for an hour across the metro area. mid-70's along the lower eastern shore. cooler in the mountains, 50 and 60's. metro area should be in the mid- 60's through the afternoon. we cannot rule out a couple of showers. if you plan to be outside, you may want to think about what weather -- wet weather.
