after guest smelled a strange odor in the 600 block of martial lee drive. >> they saw there were chemicals and side. >> officers arrested five men in connection to the possible lab. the man came from various states. >> it is our understanding they are traveling contractors and were in town for work. apparently that is their drug of choice and when they could not find it a decided to make some themselves in their hotel room. >> it was unbelievable. there were apparatus spread over a year and a police vehicle staging. if we were invaded. -- it is as if we were invaded. >> this was money -- one of the

open his body and consuming his organs. what may have prevented it, two other residences -- residents following a trail of blood. the statements came from poilce that the witnesses saw the attack but did not mention the knife. the victim was taken to a hospital. no word on her condition or motive. it has been a deadly 24 hours. four people murdered in three separate shootings. michael sullivan was the owner of sully's seafood. investigators believe it was the result of a robbery gone awry. they have no suspects or a person of interest.

anyone who may know something called metro. police say three people were shot. one of them killed. it happened before 9:30 a.m.. the victim died overnight. the search is still on for the gunman. police are looking for whoever shot and killed two men late last night in baltimore. authorities arrived to find a man dead on the porch. the victims have not yet been identified. >> the day after baltimore teenager was released, there is still a lot of cases -- questions as to how she got there in the first place. a girl was handcuffed in the middle of her graduation practice for crime she did not commit. there is more on the story. >> defense attorneys say the case highlights some frightening

aspect when it comes to court commissioners that basically someone's word can land you in jail. a tearful reunion outside of central booking. tiara brown embraces her parents. >> i was real upset. i prayed to go and read my bible. the best thing to do is come home. >> the honors student was locked up on attempted murder charges connected to the stabbing at the half mile track nightclub. what appears to be the victim's daughter filled out a complaint and submitted it to a commissioner at the courthouse claiming that brown stabbed her mother six times and threatened her as well. the commissioner issued a warrant for her arrest but to add to the confusion, police had

the officers gathered in front of city hall for this leg of the torch run for special olympics. federal officers from many different departments came to run. >> i learned more from them than they did to me. it is a good thing to do. >> to have all of us come together as a group to sponsor an and sulfur wording and self- fulfilling. >> the runners took off. this is one of many legs of the run. officers are taking part in the maryland torch run. it is a worldwide event with officers from around the world running for special olympics athletes. >> we started this 27 years ago with 200 officers.

city police are counting out tenths of thousands of dollars of drugs after a massive blast in northwest baltimore. detectives were alerted to the mid-level operation after members of the community became fed up with a violent trend in drug activity. more than $75,000 worth of drugs and $20,000 in cash. >> of baltimore county teenager is freed from jail after a case of mistaken identity. the other student was locked up on attempted murder charges that were related to an attempted stabbing. the case highlights a major flaw in the system. commissioners can issue an arrest warrant without an investigation. she ended up missing her graduation. the victim left blinded by a baseball attack in morgan state

university said he thinks the howard county cabalism suspect was planning on meeting his organs, too. finding evidence of a previous attack on a man named joshua cesar. his attorney said if someone had not intervened, he would have seen the same fate as the victim. that victim was cut up and his heart and part of his brain eaten. his attorney could not be reached for comment. a federal agency that has acknowledged it wasted thousands of taxpayer dollars on a lavish conference is under fire again for awarding bonuses to employees under investigation. sally kidd joins us with more. >> we are talking about the general services administration. this is happening because there is no policy against it.

federal records show 84 gsa workers wrecked in handsome bonuses despite being under investigation. the cost to taxpayers over $1 million. >> it appears to us looking at this that bonuses had turned into something that was a right instead of a bonus. everyone got their bonuses every year no matter what. >> they commissioner under investigation for spending big bucks on a conference in las vegas and an officer who had been reassigned for alleged abuse of authority and a supervisor who had been reprimanded for interfering with an ig investigation. >> anyone under investigation should not be a bonus. >> it is one reason why people have lost faith in -- faith in

>> you can expect to pay more and for power. this according to a new survey by consulting and construction firm. 90% said there will be a spy. half of them reported the rise would be significant. the reason, rules requiring use of renewable energy and mandating at cut in pollution from coal-fired power plants. they predict an emphasis on solar power and surging electric cars. they expect electric cars will use 7% of the nation's power supply by 2025. an increase in the number of workers classified as involuntary part-timers. those workers would rather be working a full 40-hour week but they cannot because they are -- their employers are cutting back on hours or they cannot find a full-time job. the number of people working part-time climbed above 8 million last month. part-time jobs are little easier to come by.

at least 14 looking for a paycheck this summer. the may jobs report shows an increase of 67,000 teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 with jobs. the biggest may increase in the reading since 1999. while that is encouraging, the numbers are not a sign of an easy job market. we are struggling -- they are struggling with almost a 20% unemployment rate. >> one doesn't high school students got -- one dozen high school students got a sneak peek into the locker room and a scholarship. students must exceed academically which means a minimum of 3.25 gpa and athletically. >> we feel this is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the achievement of the students. they worked so hard throughout their careers and we want to knowledge their hard work.
