the difference between the north side and the south side, it's 70s or 90s and that's the weather pattern we're dealing with right now. for sunday, second half of the weekend, chance for showers and thunderstorms in the northern tier. much of the southeast will have a chance for showers and thunderstorms. the northeast clears ut and we start to warm back up. for the most part, most areas in the northeast, if you don't mind the warmth, that's going to be the day. sunday is going to be your day this weekend. still a little warm for you if you're doing some sightseeing in washington, d.c. on sunday. for monday, showers hanging around throughout parts of the southeast. that's going to keep things a little cooler for atlanta, louisville. but places like minneapolis, kansas city and chicago still in the 80s with a few storms still lingering around. on tuesday, a few showers for the pacific northwest. the bulk of the rain across the country will be in the southeast up to the eastern lakes with highs in the 70s.

>> thank you. >> cheers. let's get started. this is sangria. >> that's delicious. >> what are you making for us? >> this is marinated grilled lamb. we are going to marinate lamb overnight. olive oil. i'm going to throw in mint. can you help me out here in lemon zest, garlic. these are turkish spices, fennell seed, mustard seed, cumin, parsley. we'll pour this over the lamb and marinate it overnight. perfect. >> i pour but hoda dumps. >> then we grill quickly. takes about two minutes on each side. >> you can cook them outside? >> outside on the grill or in the kitchen. >> delicious. >> if you hit that with coarse sea salt.

i'll finish it with good olive oil and a simple skewer. >> i love it. >> that looks delicious. >> and we want a veggie? >> we'll do root vegetables. typically people roast these. the idea is to get the flavor from the spice and rub them in salt. we'll take all our spices here. rosemary, thyme, black pepper, corn, pink peppercorn, lemon zest. all that gets mixed in. mix it in. if you want you can throw sugar. >> if i'm not a fan of salty foods, this looks like a lot of salt. >> we'll skin these afterwards. so you're not going to get any salt. you can rinse them. this seasons it nicely and makes it really tender. >> how long do these sit in that? >> we roast them in the oven at 350. it's a lot of salt, but you'll see over here. let them go. they are fine. >> no. they look delicious. >> this is what we have.
