they hold a justice in their hand. reporting from pennsylvania. >> officials are trying to determine what started a late- night fire. this happened laurel just before midnight. garage was fully engulfed in flames. police are trying to figure out what figure to a victim of showing up at a hospital with gunshot wounds. investigators are trying to determine where the alleged incident took place. an officer shot and killed somebody was trying to kill a drug suspect. this happened in southwest baltimore. the suspect ran into a house. the pitbull came out to the

officer, who opened fire. the suspect nor the officer was injured. >> the search for a new police chief continues. kim dacey has the latest to replace commissioner bealefeld. >> fred bealefeld announced he would step down on august 1 and spend more time with his family after five years on the job. an 18% drop in homicide. there is a 10-person advisory panel in the search for a new top cop. this panel will conduct interviews for internal and an external applicants and recommend their finalists for the mayor for consideration. city residents have plenty of

a baltimore murder case has been solved. kyle williams has been arrested. investigators say williams pulled the trigger in the shooting and faces charges of first-degree murder. >> a woman is arrested after police say she kidnapped a boy. the baby's legal guardian said several people were arguing about who had custody of the boy. she took the boy from his bedroom and left. 5:06. wildfires continue to burn in two states in the west. >> police on a manhunt in alabama. we will have the latest will recover the nation.
