maybe if you thunderstorms this afternoon. cloudy and humid with a high temperature of 82. we will check the seven-day forecast going all the way into the weekend. >> good morning. the rain could have contributed to the accident at route 2 in annapolis. looking at some good news on 295. the new interchange is now open at arundel mills boulevard. closures later on olight street between conaway and pratt. 11 minutes on the outer loop west side. not bad on the inner loop over towards the 83's. here's a quick live look at traffic. will update you on greenspring over towards the j.f.x.

the outer loop is building closer to 795. 83 at padonia road checking out fine. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> fire investigators back on the scene of the massive warehouse fire in fells point. >> coverage began tuesday afternoon on broadway. that fire was battled well into the night. kim dacey continues our coverage. >> this blaze burned for about nine hours yesterday. luckily the building was vacant. neighbors say it was a former grocery store. the facade looks ok. all of the windows are broken out. inside, it looks like a hollow shell burned out from the fire. neighbors say this building is a former grocery store. the fire started around 2:00 yesterday afternoon. dense smoke filled fells point around the 500 block of

broadway. fire officials say it escalated to a five-alarm blaze. around 130 firefighters converged on the scene. neighboring businesses were evacuated as they successfully raced to contain the flames. the warehouse roof collapsed, forcing them to focus their efforts on every outside angle they could attack. two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. longtime residents say they have never seen anything like this. >> i have never seen anything with quite this force behind it. and i saw these firefighters. they look like they beat it down to white smoke. and then of a the sudden it just came rolling back with a huge vengeance. >> city fire investigators will be back out at the scene later this morning to determine what started the fire. the b.g.e. website is reporting more than 100 people are still without power. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news.

>> two people are recovering after a late-night accident near patapsco state park. a man -- a woman turned her hyundai into the path of an oncoming police cruiser. charges are pending against her. the officer is in stable condition at shock trauma. >> police are investigating a triple shooting. this happened just before 6:00 on monday night. the victim's injuries are not life-threatening. some good news when it comes to violent crime in baltimore.

the city is no longer in the top five when it comes to the murder rate. at 12% drop and the first time there have been fewer than 200 homicides in baltimore since the 19 70's. >> a jogger thidiscovered the by of janell balogun. police say there are still a lot of unanswered questions. >> we do not have any suspects at this point. we would like to hear from anybody who has any information about this crime along frederick road. >> an exact cause of death has not been revealed. anyone with any information on this case should call metro crime stoppers, 1-866-7-lockup. >> a man was working near route

97 when he took off. he is serving time for manslaughter and was last seen wearing a road crew vest over white t-shirt and blue jeans. >> the bottle tax takes a big state towards becoming reality. it would raise the cost of water and soda from 2 cents to 5 cents per bottle. opponents say the tax would hurt residents and businesses. >> but i think with all the burden of taxes that the citizens in this city face right now, and the impact that this has on business in a depressed economy, that though the tax is paid by the distributor, it is the trickle- down effect, that it's the consumer that ultimately pays the price for it. >> so that people can object if they wish.

>> a final vote is expected for next week. >> four people are recovering after an accident involving a bus. it happened in cherry hill. a child was riding a bicycle and hit the bus. the child was not hurt. >> jerry sandusky will return to court this morning. chris pallone has a look at how the trial is unfolding. >> former penn state defensive coordinator jerry sandusky back in court tuesday after spending a day listening to a 28-year- old man accuse sandusky of molesting him as a boy in the late 1990's. he's been identified as victim four and the prosecution's first witness said sandusky initiated physical contact with him when he was around 13 years old.

he testified it started as horseplay while showering with sandusky in the penn state coaches' locker room. it soon escalated to something much more sinister, lasting for nearly five years. the witness described sandusky in public acting like a father. but in private, he said sandusky treated him like a girlfriend. the alleged victim said he did not come forward because he was embarrassed and he enjoyed the gifts and access to penn state. he grew emotional during the defense questioning. >> he regretted not coming forward earlier because he felt guilty that ybe he was responsible for these other victims having being molested. >> sandusky's attorney tried to show jurors that showering with a boy is not a crime. the first witness became agitated and seemed evasive. the defense strategy is to show sandusky's accusers are motivated by money. up next is a witness identified in court documents as victim

along the gulf coast that is robbing the moisture flow. with those big storms, we may not get the heaviest rain yet we thought we would get yesterday. that is a little bit of help. it will be a cloudy day and it will be difficult for the temperatures to move. dew points are around 70 degrees. the temperatures are around 70. the air is pretty much saturated. 68 at the airport. 69 in parkton. off and on rain showers. maybe some thunderstorms this afternoon. it will not be steady. cloudy and muggy with temperatures in the low 80's. a slight chance for some showers on wednesday and thursday. most of those days will be dry. high temperature near 80. it should be dry on friday,

that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> a standoff in alabama and is overnight. police thought they had cornered the suspect after a shooting in auburn. they found nothing. a man is accused of killing three people at a pool party. roger clemens is accused of lying to congress when it testified that he never used performance enhancing drug. the case could go to the jury this afternoon. it turns out a dingell really did take her baby -- it turns take herg go really did baby. she spent more than three years in prison before being cleared of killing her child.

this morning. >> local say this was a former grocery store. it was vacant at the time of the story. doesn't look like it is into bad shape. it looks like a charred mess. firefighters say there were several challenges. dense smoke made it hard to see or breathe in fells point monday afternoon. >> at times it looked like it's calmed down now, but it looked like at times there was a lot of heavy black smoke that was coming out. >> a four-story warehouse in the 500 block of broadway caught fire around 2:00. it escalated to a five-alarm blaze that blackened the sky over south baltimore. longtime fells point residents say they don't recall ever experiencing a fire this incense. -- intense.

the commerce secretary will undergo a series of tests. hallie jackson joins us live with more on the story. good morning. >> this has developed over the past 24 hours. secretary john bryson does not remember much when he hit two cars in the span of about 10 minutes. commerce officials say secretary john bryson does not remember much when police say he hit two cars. this is the crossing where police say john bryson hit a stopped car then hit it again as he drove off. the next stop, he hit another car at this intersection. >> he struck that vehicle. he was basically unconscious behind the wheel. >> the commerce department said he had a seizure, the first one he's ever had. >> he was alone. he was not with his security detail.
