we have to look at each case individually and although this turns my stomach and i always feel like i need a shower after we report on it, this man is still innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law. >> his attorneys are hoping to find holes in the individual stories but as an attorney, don't you look at a story line here and if there is a pattern, perhaps that helps the jury make a decision? >> no question. if it sounds creepy and looks creepy, it is creepy but i don't know if that means he's guilty. >> will joe paterno ever get his name on a football field? >> i'm for teaching parents and kids that sometimes a relationship with a coach is not a healthy and good relationship, the access with coaches. >> i'm not getting into any of that. there's a criminal case here and

then there's a bigger issue, a big institutional issue. >> does penn state recover? >> of course they recover but i don't think we can indict the relationships that kids have with coaches. this is a beast. >> it's not an indictment. but one of the kid who testified said he went to a counselor and the counselor said to him, oh, no, he would never do that. from the age of 4, we've seen it in hockey, we've seen it in football. it is a revelation -- >> you can't indict these relationships. >> 99% of the coaches are wonderful and they build character. this is a sick, disgusting beast. i think what if anything we can learn from this, i don't think there's anything to learn other than everybody's antenna has to be up higher. where there's smoke there's fire. >> kid rarely lie and make up things like this. >> i have to ask you about the defense possibly introducing this histrionic personality -- >> it won't fly.

>> what is it? >> it goes to the base root that you're emotionally out of control. it's not going to fly as a defense. >> let's talk about lance armstrong, facing new doping charges filed by the united states anti-doping agency that may strip him of his seven tour de france titles claiming he and former members of his staff engaged in massive doping conspiracy. he's never failed a test. >> no. there's no doubt in my mind as a scientist that right now you can creatively be ahead of where the science is. there is enough urine and blood on file that as the science moves up, if he has in fact doped, they will likely find it. the damning thing around him is that everyone who has been and him as been found to be guilty of doping and i think the jury is really out. >> donnie, he says this is baseless, it's motivated by spite and advanced threw testimony bought a paid for
