apartment on sunday. police say she told him that he had punched her. she said she just renewed a piece order against him. investigators say he took off before he could be arrested. police returned on tuesday to serve a warrant. they found him hiding in a closet. >> they saw him reaching for something. our use of forced guidelines for officers do not require them to wait before somebody produces a gun or knife. half-hour officer attempted to strike him on the hand because they saw him reaching for something. he was struck on the head. >> we're told that the suspect was taken to the hospital where his condition worsened. the woman is taking any different story. more coming up live at 5:30. we know he is charged with

assaulting a police officer. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> dozens of people packed a synagogue to discuss the death of a randallstown teenager. christopher brown died earlier this month. speakers called for the arrest of the officer. investigators say they got into a fight and brown became unconscious. some said the officer is getting special treatment. >> you still have an officer walking the street free. i would say that everybody is not safe. there is a problem. >> the investigation is ongoing. >> a late-night shooting in northwest baltimore. detectives responded and found a

man who been shot. he was rushed to hospital where his condition is not known at this hour. a brother will learn his fate later today. sentencing is scheduled for eli werdesheim. he was convicted of false imprisonment. his brother was acquitted. eli faces up to 10 years behind bars. >> a jury awards a family of $55 million. they claim that doctors waited more than two hours after performing an emergency c- section. >> it was common sense. urgent means urgent.

>> a fire worsens in colorado. the wildfire entered colorado springs on tuesday. you can see a number of homes going up in flames. 32,000 people have been evacuated so far appeared the u.s. air force had to be evacuated. more than six to 200 acres have been burned so far. so far no injuries have been reported. right now folks in florida have way too much rain. tropical storm debby was downgraded to a depression. extensive flooding along the short boulevard in tampa. more than 15 inches of rain have fit that region since the storm moved in on friday. >> aaa predict more people will

there's birth control you don't have to think about taking every day or even every year. i'm painting my arms. i want another child, but not for a while. it's mirena, a small intrauterine contraceptive that's over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy for as long as you want, for up to five years. then again, i'm not sure i want to wait. don't use mirena if you have a pelvic infection, get infections easily or have certain cancers. less than 1% of users get a serious infection called pelvic inflammatory disease. if you have persistent pelvic or stomach pain, or if mirena comes out, tell your healthcare provider. if it comes out, use back-up birth control. mirena may attach to or go through the uterine wall and cause other problems. although uncommon, pregnancy while using mirena can be life threatening and may result in loss of pregnancy or fertility. ovarian cysts may occur, but usually disappear. bleeding and spotting may increase in the first w months and continue to be irregular.

the details. what is his family saying about this? >> his girlfriend said this went down entirely differently. investigators say it is cut and dry. they said officers did was necessary to subdue a man who was accused of beating his girlfriend. he is in critical condition after an encounter with police. how that plays out is unclear. the mother of his children says police came to our apartment on sunday after a neighbor called 911. she denies that and tells 11 news she just renewed a piece order against him. >> the police want me to be against him so bad. i don't care about that. they can charge me. i don't care. >> investigators say he took off before they could arrest him for

>> police in howard county make an arrest of a murder fugitive. and accused killer was heading to baltimore by bus. police were watching a number of locations where the boss might stop. -- where the bus might stop. he was picked up. it resident is behind bars in south carolina accused of shooting his girlfriend in the back of the head. he opened fire while they're on the way to pick up their son. he is charged with murder and is being held without bond. >> police are looking for suspects they say stoel $10,000 -- stole $10,000 worth
