fall the supreme court ruling yesterday. we continue our coverage with jennifer franciotti who is live downtown with help businesses are reacting. >> many small business are not sure how they will be affected. businesses that 50 employes are more will be required to supply health care for their workers or they have to pay a penalty. it starts at $2,000 for every worker that idoes that have health insurance. >> it is overly burdensome to the retailer. in a small business. it is unworkable and hard to administer. to be penalized as a businessman, we don't need anymore expenses. >> one local economist says in

severe thunderstorms in baltimore, harford, and cecil counties. the strong storms is a long the harford and baltimore county line. it is getting ready to cross over 95. around fallston, you guys will get hit pretty hard over the next 10 or 50 minutes. wind gusts over 60 miles per hour and some large hail. pretty much confined to north central maryland. not a lot happening south of town. there is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 8:00 a.m. and all the warnings or an orange. it will be a hazy, hot, and humid. heat index over 100. we will detail all this in just a few minutes and will check the seven-day forecast.

hour. especially over the 95 corridor. there is a warning for cecil county. the storms are we getting out. the strongest thunderstorm is this one along the baltimore- harford county line. that will be the worst stretch of weather over the next 20 minutes. we expect temperatures to get over 100 this afternoon. the strong storms are crossing over 83 and heading up towards jarrettsville. that-producing wind gusts -- that batch producing wind gusts of 40, 50 miles per hour. a severe thunderstorm watch in the paint arink area.

morning and there are moving fast. there are the east of baltimore and crossing the bay heading over towards the eastern shore counties. baltimore county, you guys are the clear. harford county is still getting hit. wind gusts over 60 miles per hour and large hail. let's look at the forecast for today. storms between now and about 7:00 a.m. steamy and hot for the rest of the day. 102.index about the heat will takeover as the major headline letter today. >> we don't have any problem spots right now. that is kind of surprising.

the storms are hitting on 95 near mountain road. you can see the rain is on the lens but it looks like there are no delays. give it some extra time if you're heading out north of the city. here's a quick live look at traffic. this is the beltway north of security boulevard. you can see the outer loop is picking up in volume but things are moving just fine. we'll talk about some of the speech. 65 on 795 heading south. 63 of the harrisburg expressway. 58 along the topside of the beltway. up to speed, 11 minutes in the northeast corner. 895 northbound looking at 8 minutes. no delays. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11.

take it easy and give yourself a few extra minutes. there's still some light rain up and down 95. the heaviest rain is not east of the 95 corridor. you can see how fast the storms are moving. watch them come down out of pennsylvania. they are going 65 miles per hour. on the eastern shore, it will not take a long time for them to go away. it will be kind of rough what they are around. 76 in randallstown and parkin. the heat is the major weather headline. we expected temperature to get into the upper 90's and the heat index to be over 100. hazy sunshine and a slight chance we could sit thunderstorm developed late in the day. i do not think we will break a record. the record today is 105.
