can david to check-in. those are the understandable frustration for much more people. we go to the emergency operations center with the latest. >> pg&e has been getting thousands of calls from frustrated people from the maryland area. they are frustrated because they don't have power. this has been manned for the past 24 hours as workers try to restore power to customers that don't have it. 200,000 customers have been restored, but another 366,000 don't have power. according to the utility, it will be well into next week before everyone has power. >> it actually frightened me and

i was never one of those kids that was afraid of storms. >> once things quieted down, she was not surprised to learn that her home was one of the half million power outages reported by pg&e. >> there are huge wires down. >> just a few blocks away, they tried to stay cool during their power outage. >> it has been really hot and we have been irritated. >> these were a typical sign across the area. they contributed to widespread power outages in the region. >> i would say it was not just a thunderstorm, this was a storm of epic proportions. >> pg&e says it will take a while because they are not the only utility in the region with widespread outages. >> pennsylvania, west virginia, go down to virginia, north

there are a couple of little thunderstorms down to our south. they have several of these down south to us. they have produced some localized severe weather but not the expensive stuff. notice the rain activity is all down to the south or out to the west. you can almost draw a line there. there is a front they're providing really murky air from slightly more comfortable air. now, i will switch over and one last time for this storm that came through last night. you can see the difference. this is a cluster right here as opposed to this thing. it got started in iowa and cause damage all the way from chicago area right into the mid- atlantic. a huge squall line. a little unusual. it happens, but not this extensive. travel, 800 miles and a full blown storm in the entire direction.

here are the record books for today. what has happened so far today, 94 was the high at the airport. less humid than yesterday. the inner harbor hit 100 degrees. the official reading was short of the record. a 10th of an inch or less around the baltimore area. the wind was the big thing with this storm. temperatures now, 82 in annapolis, 81 and cambridge. the satellite image shows the clouds here. we generally have clear skies overhead. everything was happening in the slightly sticky air south of that front. that boundary, that front will be in the area tomorrow. the hottest, most humid air will be from our area south. from our area north, slightly
