a live look outside. this is the beltway at burning avenue. things are moving find in both directions. this is dulaney valley road. things are looking good. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> we are approaching the one week marks since a severe storm knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of b.g.e. customers. >> fewer than 10% of those customers are without power. that is down nearly 108,000 since wednesday morning. more than 90% of those customers now have their power. b.g.e. says there's still a long way to go. nadia ramdass joins us live in baltimore with more.

>> good morning. we're on lake charles -- lake charles and -- lake avenue in the city. baltimore city has more than 14,000 people still without power. this road behind me is closed down because a few blocks down you have a number of downed trees sitting on power lines. i talked to some staff by patrols. their job is to make sure nobody comes down this road. they will babysit this area until crews come down here to clean up the maess. the number of power outages continues to shrink daily. for those without power, that number is not soon enough. 56,000 customers are still in the dark.

one community in baltimore county, residents have had a hard time adjusting to no electricity or know how water. they said is been so frustrating. myi'm having to go to niece's house to shampoo my hair. i'm going to charge my phone over there. i'm going to use her computer for a few minutes to see what has been going on on my computer. i'm running out of batteries. >> b.g.e. tells us they will continue to work through putting up the power and they expect to have resolved hopefully by this weekend. live in baltimore, nadia ramdass, wbal-tv 11 news. >> fire investigators are working to determine what sparked two separate fires in

baltimore city. one was on liberty heights avenue. crews had to open the roof to allow the smoke and flames to escape. another happened on roberts street in north baltimore. so far fire officials do not know what sparked either fire. parts of york road will remain closed this morning south of route 145 following a water main break. they have repaired the fall and break which have been did marry high-voltage cable and gas line. >> a young child was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive in a pool.

since the power first one out, more than 600,000 customers have had their power restored. it could be a few more days until everybody has their electricity back on line. nadia ramdass joins us live with more. good morning. >> we are live on lake avenue and charles street were a number of homes are still without power. more than 14,000 b.g.e. customers are sitting in the dark it this morning. this residential area has been shut down because of a number of downed trees a few blocks down. some of them are resting on power lines. a dangerous combination. crews are expected to come out here sometime today. a number of power outages --
