>> thank you. john leopold will stand trial. a judge has denied a request to dismiss the case. he's charged with misusing his security detail and to run personal errands. he is accused of using police to gather information about his political opponents. >> police all looking into a report of a sexual assault. the victim told detectives she was walking around 2:00 a.m. on july 1. she said she was approached at gunpoint by a man who tried to sexually assault her. the suspect suffered a minor injury during the incident. 20-year-old aaron parsons pleaded guilty to robbery charges. he will serve a year in prison. deangelo carter and shayona

clear. the temperature downtown right now is 79 degrees. we'll look at the radar this morning. there is some shower activity to the south of us. that shower activity may push a little rain close to us but basically it will stay depressed today. temperatures will be mostly in the 70's. we pull this view back a little bit. here's the stalled front to the south. there's a wave out to the west. that could help to generate some storm activity. kind of a battle between what this front is doing and high pressure to our north which is pushing in the drier air. most of the high pressure is going to win. the jet stream was up into

canada at last week is now drop farther south, allowing the cooler air to move then, which suppresses the storm activity a lot farther south. a mixture of sun and clouds. maybe a thundershower. the best chance for that will be mostly south of us. 82 to 87 for the high. a shower up in pennsylvania. there was an isolated shower in york yesterday. that has dissipated and there are a few clouds. most of the rain south of us. maybe something out in the mountains to the west. this computer model tries to generate some clouds north of the city. tomorrow, the computer indicates possibly some isolated storms out in the mountains to the west.

a dry forecast around the bay. it looks like a pretty good bet . we begin to see more activity by friday and that is an indication of some stormy weather ban . a small chance of rain by the end of the day on friday with higher chances on saturday, sunday, and money. maybe an isolated storm south of us today. mid to upper 80's for highs a closer to 90 by the weekend. morning lows will be in the 60's. the humidity stays low and that will be quite nice. >> thank you. good morning. we do have a couple of problems. an overturned vehicle possibly southbound on route 10 in the area of the beltway.

we'll talk more about the forecast and the next chance we'll get rain in the next couple of minutes. >> city residents are being asked to conserve water as crews begin to make repairs to the water main. >> kim dacey joins us live to give us more details and some things they're asking people to do. >> they are asking folks to conserve water. these repairs come after an extensive study in march using high-tech equipment that uncovered a new problem. using high-tech equipment like the pipe diver and special optical cables, inspectors found the potential break in southwest baltimore in march. >> due to pro-active work of the department of public works, we have gotten ahead of a potential serious matter. >> most of our large water main breaks were caused by prestressed concrete pipes that were sold across the nation four to five decades ago. the outer wire on these pipes
