62 on 95 out of white marsh. 40 miles inbound on 395 towards conaway. 11 minutes on the outer loop northeast side. 10 minutes on 95 south from the beltway down towards 32. here's a quick live look at traffic. this is our camera at 50 and sandy point. everything looks good and no delays. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> breaking news out of baltimore county. crews are on the scene of a police-involved shooting. >> jennifer franciotti is live with the latest information. >> we do have new information. officers have called in to 11 news. the suspect was shot and killed.

police came to a home here in reisterstown. detectives are still on the scene. we know that police encountered a suspect who lunged at them with some kind of weapon. police opened fire and that suspect was shot and killed. when we first got these reports, we had an unconfirmed report that the suspect may have lines to at the officers with some kind of a sword. we have no -- the evidence is bagged. one of the bags was very long and about a foot long. we have no confirmation about the sword.

much of the concentration of the photographs has been in the second floor of this home. we saw a lot of flashing going on on the second floor. a suspect has been shot and killed. reporting live, jennifer franciotti. >> maryland state police are on the scene of a shooting in carroll county that happened just after midnight. police are still on the scene. fire officials are trying to determine what sparked a home just before 2:00 a.m. this morning. there was a row home on fire when they arrive. flames were shooting out of all three floors. >> fire chief james clack is serious about negotiating a pay raise for firefighters. he received a pay raise earlier

this week. the move sparked outrage from union members. chief claque made his pledge on thursday morning. -- chief clack made his pledge of thursday morning. >> if the firefighters don't get a raise next year, i'm going to donate my whole raise to the fire foundation, which is a nonprofit that goes to benefit firefighters that are injured or killed while they're in the line of duty. >> the latest move on the table would move firefighters to a three-shift plan. >> a simple traffic stop up to outbidding turns into a more serious arrest. alterick boyd was pulled over on wednesday. the trooper called in a k-9 unit. police discovered thousands of packets of heroin inside the

car. the heroine has a street value of more than $100,000. >> a flight makes an unscheduled stop in baltimore. a cleaning solvent triggered hazmat crews to sample the air quality. a flight attendant was taken to a hospital for treatment. everybody on board was checked out. a zoning board could force some people out of business. there was a hearing at city hall last night in response to a measure that would phase out sales at liquor stores in neighborhoods. store is affected could keep their licenses if they changed their format or move.

and killing the suspect. the body has been taken for examination. hopefully we will learn more information as to what unfolded. initial reports came out that officers were here to serve a warrant but that is unconfirmed. we noticed that forensics teams coming out with different pieces of evidence. one piece of evidence came out in a long brown bag. that is unconfirmed. i spoke with a new tenant who says they can only confirm that the suspect is male and cannot confirm what kind of weapon the suspect went after police officers with. this neighborhood is east of reisterstown road in baltimore county. we're seven hours after the initial encounter and forensics

>> welcome back to 11 news today. 6:43. maryland state police are investigating an early-morning shooting in carroll county. fire officials are investigating a fire that broke out. crews found a vacant home on fire. so far no injuries have been reported. fire chief james clack says he wants to negotiate a race for city firefighters. he received a raise and that sparked outrage over union members.

a stronger front will come through on tuesday night or wednesday. temperatures will be at or slightly above average, which isn't too bad. >> baltimore county police on the scene of a fatal police- involved shooting. jennifer franciotti joins us live with the latest information. >> this unfolded around 11:40 last night in the neighborhood to the east of reisterstown road. i'll step out of the way. this is a tow truck which will block the scene. we believe the tow truck is here to take away possibly the suspect's vehicle. officers were here presumably to serve a warrant.

suspect lunged at the officer with some kind of weapon. the officer shot and killed the suspect. the suspect may have been carrying some kind of a sword. when forensics team came out of the home, they were caring various evidence bags and one item was double bagged. it was a long and slender item. we're still trying to confirm that the suspect came at the officer with a sword. this vehicle had been sitting in the driveway all morning long. we have seen this vehicle all morning long. presumably it may belong to the suspect. the suspect is a male suspect. the body will be taken to the
