from the south. the big storms have been down from southward. those are the big storms, powerful winds and a lot of rain. how much rain did we get here that an inch and 20/1 hundred. we have almost three-quarters of an inch here. this morning was the stuff that really measured. this afternoon has been mostly drizzle. the clouds in the rain held the temperatures down today. only made it to 72. we have been sitting at these readings all day long. a typical high is 87. the high is 104 degrees. warmer temperatures to the south. the even had some sun breaks to the south. light rain activity held the temperatures down. you can see this agreement shape. that is where all the drizzle has been falling. here's a satellite showing the big thunderstorms.

the clouds are producing that drizzle. it should continue tonight. the front has action moves a little farther south. i think this help support some in the rain we got here. the front is in the neighborhood. they stirred things up. the moisture is coming off the atlantic ocean from the east. the humid air is pushing up in front of the cooler air. all of that conspire to give us a wet day today. you can see how much cooler we are in here because of all the clout and activity. look at the center part of the nation. hunters from north texas into nebraska and into the southern -- in the hundreds from northern texas and nebraska and into the southern dakotas. 63-67 the overnight low. we keep the clouds all night. a little spotty.
