wear a firearm. such a standard infringes on the second amendment right to bear arms. the gun control debate is intensifying. i spoke with anthony brown who said tragedies like this should prompt a fresh look at gun laws and he defended the criteria to get a gun lot. >> i don't think you'll ever be able to prevent someone from acquiring a gaunt lawfully and going on and doing something unlawful. applying standards like good and substantial help filter out i think the bad actors from owning and possessing guns. >> the attorney general's office is appealing the ruling. they are possibly planning to ask a judge to keep the current laws in place until a decision can be made. state police in two weeks will be required to comply with this new ruling and that is to grant

baltimore. a man was shot in the head. police have not released a motive in the case. anyone with information should call city police. city police trying to recruit new officers that live in the city. the last class of trainees, fewer than 20% or city residents. it wants to improve their ability to get candidates from their own backyard. >> we want people who understand the city, who know the city. and who are from the neighborhoods and understand the problems that are going on in the neighborhood. >> officials say the new efforts are underway to better qualified city residents as candidates. >> a man is killed in afghanistan. he was killed during an insurgent attack while on a control.
