you can check out the maryland athletes competing in london. wbaltv.com and click on " olympics." in tonight's big local story, the bodies of two american climbers have been found in peru and one of the victims has ties to maryland. sheldon dutes joins us from johns hopkins university with more. >> one of the climbers received his master's in economics from johns hopkins antanaclasis that the d.c. campus. these are some photos madonna -- we got on his blog. they were attempting to climb a 20,000 foot tall mountains northeast of lima, peru. they fell on their way down the mountain. they had been missing for several days when they found

their bodies yesterday afternoon. they're both experienced climbers. he had been to approve several times and this was horn's first rips. friends and neighbors have been posting comments. the mandate. they will make it to the baltimore basilica by august 5th. the first fire here on columbia road in colombia apparently happened just before 3:00 a.m. it was a grease fire started in the kitchen. the occupant had to move out temporarily because of smoke and water damage. fire crews and of course their way in an apartment after about getting in 911 call. an elderly woman was asleep in her apartment and apparently some smoke in the kitchen set the alarm off. we also learned this afternoon that a baltimore city firefighter was rushed to the hospital battling a blaze in east baltimore. he suffered burns to his hand. at last check, the firefighter had been released and is off duty for the time being. the crew did get the flameout

>> a woman critically injured in the colorado shooting has suffered a miscarriage. she is recovering from surgery but that the trauma caused the miscarriage. she may be paralyzed. her daughter, six years old, was the youngest person killed in the aurora movie theater. new details from the president of penn state. they said they will probably have to give the athletic department long term loan. speaking on "face the nation," they say the financial reserves will be used to pay the fine. you will remember they handed down the fine last week in light of the sandusky sex abuse scandal. presidential candidate met romney had a stop in jerusalem.
