investigators say three men took off in the victim's 2004 silver honda odyssey after shooting him several times. it happened around 10:00 p.m. sunday night in evisham avenue. detectives say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. the victim, hammond bridges, died from his wounds. >> the man accused of plotting a terrorist attack in prince georges county is still undergoing a mental health evaluation. formal challenges -- charges still havhad to be filed. he told his supervisor he would attack the work place after a burning he was soon to be fired. he reportedly referred to himself as the joker. a search of his apartment uncovered dozens of guns and thousands of rounds of commission. charges have been filed against

the man accused of killing 12 and wounding dozens more inside a colorado movie theater. james colmes has been charged with several crimes including 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder. two counts for each of the dozen people killed and 58 injured. holmes sat silently without reacting as he heard the formal charges against him in the denver area courtroom. >> several attempted sexual assaults in ocean city. there were three cases last month. we have the latest. >> the summer tourism season is in full swing. everyone is looking forward to spending some time at the beach and getting away. a recent series of attempted sexual assaults has seasonal residents and year-round residents concerned for their safety. there visiting from carroll county and their concern for their daughter's safety after

it will take nine days to stabilize those lines before repairs to the sinkhole can continue. a different type of construction project is underway in downtown baltimore. city streets will transform into a race track for the upcoming grand prix. this year, organizers say they're making changes to protect businesses along the route that suffered financial losses in the last round. we have the latest from downtown. >> work is underway to accommodate the race cars that will come screaming through downtown baltimore. the first phase of construction starts on conaway street. closed from howard to light street from now until august 3. it takes 22 million pounds of concrete, 15,000 tires and 2200 fence panels to construct the course for the grand prix in baltimore. the process got underway on monday one month before the

was not a bad day for the olympics but the rain is coming back into the picture tonight. some showers in the forecast around london tomorrow. it was interesting reading the forecast. they talked about a warm afternoon. 68 degrees. that is crazy for summertime but upper 60's 70's feels warm to them. most of the day, temperatures are in the 50's. it is 56 in london right now. some showers throughout the evening. we're left with some cloud cover. if you got a rain shower to might we might end up with patchy areas of fog toward morning. be on the lookout for that. notice the spotty nature to this and not that heavy. this cell behalf -- left half an inch in some locations. some rain did hit the rain gauge this evening. 0.03 of an inch. a few drops down there. and that brings the monthly total of 23 point to 7 inches.

we did hit the exact average for the day. 87 today. that is where we are supposed to be this time of year. strange to have a normal day in this hot summer of 2012. the record high, 98 in 1940. temperatures are mild. mostly in the 70's around here. cooler in a few spots like in the mountains. 66 that frost bird. 75 in hagerstown. 80 degrees in chrisfield. storms have dissipated. we're left with partly cloudy skies. high pressure off the southern coast of new england. it gives us a decent day but it is moving away. it will be further out tomorrow. that allows tropical moisture to stream back up from the gulf. that moisture is increasing and the front is getting closer. the rain chances go up a little bit. more areas will see the scattered showers tomorrow then

saw them today. a mix of clouds and sun and temperatures may be a little bit cooler. on the bay, the winds will be out of the southeast, waves averaging 1 foot. the water temperatures are 82. mounds have some scattered storms in the forecast for tuesday and wednesday and this will continue into thursday and friday for most areas out west. temperatures in the mid- to the upper 70's. down at the coast including ocean city, you have to watch of -- for a pop-up shower each afternoon but there will be some sunshine each day. the seven day forecast. torture is a couple of degrees below normal because of the increased cloud cover and showers wednesday and thursday. dry weather on friday. a chance for scattered thunderstorms in the 90's over the weekend. >> he finds himself likely shut down for the rest of the season.
