medal count. >> preparations are underway for this year's grand prix. kim dacey is live with the latest. >> crews stopped working a few minutes ago. this is one of the first phases of this project. conway street will be closed from light street to howard street from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. monday through friday from now until now3. it takes 15,000 tires to construct the course for the grand prix of baltimore. the process got underway on monday. last year some businesses outside the track suffered losses instead of a spike in business. organizers are taking extra steps to make sure businesses do

>> the first construction project is here along conway street. it should not affect the morning commute. construction is from his 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. monday through friday through august 3 . indy cars will be screaming through the streets of baltimore. it takes 22 million pounds of concrete, 15,000 tires, and 2200 fence panels to construct the course. the process got underway on monday. >> we will build in the next 30 days a 2 mile racetrack and paying attention to those details. we're doing this in 30 days. >> this year they're taking extra steps to make sure businesses do not suffer.
