asking for an accepting free tickets for personal use. >> if the tickets are given to the mayor, that is not for me to say. it is a drop in the bucket when you talk about the amount of tickets to the first marriage that are given out. >> a spokesman for the mayor's office said the city provides hundreds of complimentary tickets to hard working employees, school students, community groups. the policy of giving out tickets to city officials has been in effect since 1988. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> two demonstrators are behind bars after police say they caused a disturbance at city hall. police say two people entered

city hall demanding a meeting with the mayor. there were told such a meeting was not possible and with then arrested. nobody was hurt. >> a strange turn of events and with a police officer shooting a man. this unfolded yesterday morning. the officer learned that tavon williams had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge. he told the officer that he needed to use the restroom and then he bolted from the building. >> he backed up and tried to run the officer over. the officer fired three rounds. >> williams was picked up and taken to hospital. he is now in serious but stable condition. the officer is on administrative duty this morning.

fire officials are asking for some help to find two arson suspects. they entered the food lion in pasadena late last month and set off some kind of a firework. if you recognize the teenagers, it should call anne arundel county, fire investigators. parents are being targeted in a new anti bullying campaign in washington this week. >> hallie jackson is live with the details. what is the big message coming from the gathering? >> advocates want to make sure kids who see somebody getting

bullied did not just stand by and watch. parents toimed at teach students to be more than just bystanders. there is a summit happening in washington, d.c. this is the same one that katie o'malley appeared at yesterday. talking about ways to help kids ullies.coming be there are a couple of recommendations. tell an adult if you see something. if you see someone being bullied, refused to be an audience. you can also find some recommendations on line. >> hallie jackson, thank you.

up 65 miles per hour. it will likely become a hurricane today. it is about 300 miles east of belize. probably south of cancun sometime tomorrow. continuing to track across the southern part of the gulf of mexico. it looks like it will stay south of the texas coast line. they could use the rain down at the southern plains. maybe it will turn the corner to the much needed drought-stricken areas. it will make landfall south of once it comes out over the water. here home, 71 in cockeysville. we had a front go through yesterday. take a look at the dew points.

the dew points in southern maryland are in the low 70's. 62 in parkton. the boundary is still in the area so we have a slight chance for a thunderstorm in the area. if there's any thunderstorm activity, it will be itself of baltimore. so the forecast, a mixture of sun and clouds. high temperature between 85 and 90 degrees. should be pretty quiet if you take the boat out today. the seven-day forecast -- another quiet day tomorrow. 20% chance for a thunderstorm. on thursday. a strong cold front will go through on friday. a high near 88. temperatures dipping back into the mid 80's for the weekend.

defense for free. you can expect to pay a premium to see certain shows at 1st mariner arena unless you're lucky enough to get on this list. 11 news obtained 300 pages of correspondence between the mayor's office and 1st mariner arena arranging for free tickets. in some cases, she attended with her family. her husband received five tickets to attend an mma fight. as the general manager about the policy of giving out free tickets. aey'll provide a city with number of free tickets. this is happened since 1988. the tickets are provided to the arena by the promoter. the mayor addressed her decision to take relatives in the skybox.
