jill the scratch her experience competing in the -- described her experience competing in shot put in london. >> i know you're not a happy to see how things turned out. you had an injury. >> i did. i was ready to go. i did really well. as i started training once we got here, i injured my back. it was something i had done before. we treated it. that created another problem. i ended up herniated disk in my back, which caused numbness in my feet and my inability to throw well. it was rough, but i was -- it was a risk, but i was able to get out there and play well. >> do you know what you might be

investigation on 11 news tonight after the olympics. >> and now, your 11 insta- weather plus forecast with chief meteorologist tom tasselmyer. >> quiet around here with just a few showers. a different story in southern maryland. the national weather service issued a tornado warning for these little showers that you see down here. this one right here apparently produced a waterspout. officials were concerned it might move inland and do damage. no lightning associated. it did matter to spit out by little waterspout that could move on shore. the issue date tornado warning. it is a fairly weak waterspout, but could still do some damage if it moved inland. the warning goes until 6:30 p.m.

this evening. a couple of shower is going up. as far as the total precipitation in our area, showers producing some measurable rain a few of those spring goes actually moved up the shore. nothing in the rain gauge here at b.w.i. marshall. the rainfall deficit continues to grow. we are now 8.6 inches below normal we hit 87 degrees today. that is normal for this time of year. the record is 105. the hottest it has ever been in august in baltimore officially 105 degrees.

further south you go, the better chance for a shower activity. that will be mainly south of cambridge. ocean city as the risk of a shower or storm because they are closer to the stalled front. wheat waves out of the eastern atlantic, but look at this. we've got the second hurricane of the season. it will come on shore as a category one hurricane. winds at 80 miles per hour and moving west at 15. it will cut across parts of the gulf of mexico in the next three-five days. chances for thunderstorms or return late thursday with the best chance on friday with a high of 83. >> we want to respect those of you who would prefer to watch tonight's prime time coverage on nbc without knowing the results.

courtney al-shaab returned to practice after missing seven workouts after a shoulder injury. because of the missed time he may be out. modell at practice today watching the 2012 team come together. a hamstring injury has hampered third round pick bernard peers, leaving him on the sidelines. joe flacco and anquan boldin will see about a quarter of an action thursday night in atlantic -- in atlanta. >> it is the closest we will get for a short amount of time. we might not be perfectly synchronized with things yet.
