partially decomposed human head. he called 911 and with health, the rest of the body was found in the woods. they seemed curious and out of the ordinary. the word from the medical examiner's office said it was a homicide. >> it appears to be trauma to the upper body. >> the body appears to be that of a white female 18-20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with brown hair. the police do not have an identity and her description does not match any missing person. >> it does not appear that it is a match to anything in terms of missing persons in our region. however, we will pursue every evidence. >> the previously told 11 news that an area team used the woods as a hangout. they are looking for all the help they can get to first id the victims' and find her killer.

>> it started as a stabbing outside of a 7-eleven when the victim was struck and killed by a car. police are looking for groups of people that might be linked to the crime. we have obtained surveillance images with the people police are looking for. they believe they know something about the murder of ezra bench. they are talking to a group of known suspects when he was stabbed and collapsed in the street where he was hit by a car. it happened -- anyone with an permission should contact police.

we now know the cause of a fire in prince george's county that of the life of a 5-year-old girl. the overloaded electrical circuit is to blame. it was 4:30 yesterday afternoon. there were too many appliances running on the same outlet including an air-conditioning unit. the girl's father was inside at the time and they are listed in critical condition. dodge the police believe they have sold a string of burglaries across the county. they believe one man is behind the mall. david cooper is accused of breaking in the businesses on the eastern, southern, and western parts of the county. he left his cell phone at one of the burglary sites. it put police hot on his trail and he allegedly broke into the ishack in pasadena. cooper remains in police custody. >> now, your instaweather plus

forecast. >> a few thunderstorms have developed this afternoon. one of them severe to the southwest of baltimore city. the thunderstorm is trying to produce showers in the city and putting down heavy rain. dangerous lightning and also some strong damaging winds in the city area right now. the storm you can see is adjusting to the northwest at about 13. ticket up toward woodstock. -- pick it up towards woodstack. a severe thunderstorm moving at 13 miles an hour, some dangerous lightning associated witheavy downpours. west of hagerstown, that is not an immediate threat to us, they are working towards southwestern pennsylvania. these storms began northwest of hagerstown.

the one closer to home as the storm -- northwest on the howard-baltimore county line. beyond the look out there for some flooding in low-lying areas and heavy downpours. perhaps even some damaging wind. there might be some hail the size of quarters imbedded there as well. 93 degrees in frederick at this hour. 91 in gaithersburg, along the eastern shore of the dew point is making it feel hotter. low. 80 for a southland at about 5 miles an hour. storms are picking up because of the slow-moving cold front across ohio. only in the sixties out in chicago. there is some cooler air behind this front, slowly working its way toward baltimore. that is why thunderstorms are going to remain in the forecast for today -- the day tomorrow.

alert,onight's medical an ingredient used to make artificial butter for popcorn has been linked to alzheimer's disease. the ingredient is a chemical that has also been linked to respiratory problems and workers at microwave popcorn factories. and the university of minnesota researchers found a chemical led to an increase of beta amyloid, a marker of alzheimer's disease. the results have not been shown in people. also tonight, a warning from doctors about the dangers of miniature magnetic pole is. they are meant for adults and older children, but they are also marketed as bucky balls.

exhibits of the national aquarium will be closing for the year. the exhibit is shutting down for repairs and renovations. before the tank is drained, jennifer got a chance to swim with the stingrays and her personal favorite, calypso the sea turtle. >> with time running out to see the wings of the water exhibit, i jumped at the chance to get in that tank. i was held with my mask and gave me some safety tips. i was snorkeling for the first time. this is amazing. incredible to see these animals up close, especially calypso that let me see her like we were old friends. i really do love her, and lia has a great job. >> i love my job, i get into the water with animals every day. >> it will be under construction, drained for much needed repair. it is giving the aquarium a

up in southern coward -- southern howard county. right now, the only warning in our area is for the ellica city storm. the cone is moving to the northwest, so look out in northern baltimore county. we picked up a little rain at the airport earlier today, almost 0.2 inches. the total for the year approaching 17 inches. for the first time this year, we hit 90 or higher, 92 degrees the official high today. 101 the official record. out of the cold front, 40 -- upper 80's to near 90. it will take 36 hours to push through here. these storms we see today will be in the area again tomorrow.
