an officer shot the suspect. he was pronounced dead. a 2-year-old is safe with family members. the investigation remains on going. the officer will be on the administrative duty. >> all lanes of northbound i-95 remaining closed due to a fatal accident involving a pedestrian. the accident happened at about 8:35 earlier this evening. a female the dashing was pronounced dead at the scene. traffic is being diverted onto route 22. >> now to another big story this morning, the damning depositions of three members of the police force. >> this was filed by a former

county employee. a trio of officers testified earlier this week. >> this case has suffered from the criminal charges against leopold's alleging that he misused his security detail. leopold is accused of harassment and retaliatory termination. the deposition is long. one of the officers who worked as a driver testified that he was with leopold when he first met carl at a bank. one thing that he liked was the size of her breasts. every time we had a conversation about her, it was about the size of her breasts, basically. -- was hired by leopold in 2008. she alleged in her lawsuit that leopold made unwanted sexual advances to her and then had her

transferred to the police department and then fired when she filed a official complaint. she was taking a position that was that you're going to have to interview for. when it came time to interview, she was not to get the job. the office had no comment. they had previously denied any wrongdoing in the case. >> thank you. now to an update. the death of a person whose remains have been found has been ruled a homicide tonight. the police say first a head and then the body were discovered along the 8100 block of the highway. the remains are that of a white female, 5 feet, 6 inches. she suffered trauma to the upper

body. they don't know who she is. >> i can tell you that they will look for any additional evidence, any potential witnesses that might be out there, reaching out to other jurisdictions to see if there are any matches that have been injured in the databases. >> anyone with information is asked to call police. >> police say that one man is responsible for a string of burglaries and nearly two dozen businesses at anne arundel county. it is what was left that clued in detectives. david cooper broken to 17 businesses since early july throughout parts of the county. detectives say that he left his phone at one of the sites, the anne arundel county fairgrounds. he then was caught on surveillance video in pasadena. >> legislation to expand

thunderstorms. there are some heavy downpours in parts of howard and montgomery county. the things have quieted down a little bit but there is another that's coming in in northern virginia. this will likely run to the north. this will go through their western suburbs and get into parts of central maryland in the next couple of hours. we're not done with the threat just yet. when we check the precipitation totals and was with our view, we will see that pulls i area down and parts of areas of montgomery county. we have upwards of 5 inches of rain in parts of north central montgomery county and a pocket of heavy rain in the eastern part of howard county. 2, 3, 4 inches might have come down in those areas. you do see the isolated nature. there is lots of precipitation associated.
