an expanded gambling bill is passed. >> the bill was passed late last night. the bill would allow live table games in maryland, allowing a sixth casino to be built in prince george's county. the issue prompted lengthy debates since the session started last tuesday and most of the day on tuesday. >> anything that deals with the people who are our constituents that will be subjected to what we're doing. this is one safeguard. >> governor o'malley is expected to sign the bill at 10:00 a.m. this morning. voters will have a final say in the november ballot. more on our website, wbaltv.com. that brings us to our water

we're seeing this tree that slumped over because of the rain that swept through the area. this looks like a leg. this is where loch raven dips. -- this looks like a lake. it is an absolute mess. we had several rescues and several tornado warnings and reports of hail. there were some trapped motorists. up to quite sure inches of rain fell and fell fast. >> when i went my back door which i have a big raised area, a walk down and saw the water through the parking lot into the apartment complex and i walked through and one of the ladies, her car in loch raven was

response to june's derecho storm. some said it would of been better if b.g.e. would have given them a realistic time frame of when that would restore power. >> give me a number. say it will be a week. we will go away and make plans accordingly. >> if we had plans accordingly, we would put 1000 utility workers in place before the storm hit. that tells us some of those lessons would have led us to restore power quickly. >> two more meetings are scheduled for this week. one tonight is an ellicott city. another is tomorrow night at towson. b.g.e. it will probably respond to these complaints in september. >> b.g.e. is implementing new

tree trimming regulations. we caught up with a crew as it pruned trees in cockeysville on tuesday. when the ratio hit in june, most of the customers lost electricity because trees and limbs fell on power lines. >> if we can protect those substations, will go a long way to mitigating those outages that we will no doubt experience in the future. >> it took pg about a and half days to restore all the power -- it took b.g.e. about eight and a half days to restore all the power from that storm. today is a big day for more than a million illegal immigrants. they will gain legal status.
