erupted into flames after crashing into a barrier wall at the exit. flames engulfed the cabin killing the driver. they're trying to figure out what caused the truck to lose control in the first place. they're looking into whether a medical emergency was behind a serious accident in a parking garage at the mall in columbia. a 60-year-old behind the wheel had to be airlifted after his vehicle popped the curb. it happened at about 7:00 p.m. last night on the first floor of the garage last i. at this hour, the driver is listed in critical condition. in a bizarre case of a kidnapping sincerity in cecil county has a man behind bars. they have on unravelled an elaborate scheme in their tracing it all back to floras. he had been a list -- soliciting people to kidnapped the boy, a

member of a local wealthy family. he wanted to have the child snatched while playing outside and then demanmoney for his return. police were able to monitor one of the suspects leads before placing wonder rest. >> we begin with them warning from the maryland department of health. they have confirmed six cases of swine flu in queen anne's county. five children and one adult have been infected by the same virus strain. they have had direct contact with pigs. that is true of the other cases across the country as well. it seems to spread from person to person but have not gone beyond one or two people. they are now on heightened surveillance. a baltimore man will push his body to the limit next week when he begins a journey across the country on his feet.

have hit 90 or higher officially at bwi marshall. last year, we had hit it 40 times, so about the same this year as last. the normal would be 24. we are way ahead of that. today's 90 degree reading was the first time we had 90 degrees in one week. it's been awhile. we have been enjoying temperatures closer to normal, but now it's warm and muggy. this is where the showers and the front are coming through. 94 baltimore. 70 hagerstown. 75 hancock. 61 in oakland. 30 degrees cooler there than it is in downtown baltimore. that's a pretty good front coming through triggering the showers. until that can clear the area, the risk for showers will be with us meaning this will continue to produce the possibility of a shot around the eastern shore of the beach through the afternoon hours tomorrow.
