constellation energy group] captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- >> baltimore police are involved -- investigating a shooting that left a man dead. we have details on our big story. george, some folks in the neighborhood are questioning the officer's actions. >> people in this west baltimore neighborhood tell me the victim was an older man who had been squatting and one of these rowhome is on west lexington street. he was known as mr. rudy. he was a veteran who may have been suffering from schizophrenia. at 12:30 this afternoon, police responded to a burglary call. well of the officers seized a man in the house. the man attacks the officer and caught him in the face and neck. >> after that moment, another officer discharged his service weapon in defense of the first officer and the suspect did result -- died.

>> rudy was quiet. he was a good guy. sometimes he forgot to take his medicine. if he knew him, you could tell. but they could have handled it a lot different. >> police tell us that the second officer fired multiple shots. an investigation is underway to determine if the shooting was justified. a police spokesperson says he does not know if the officers had tasers on them to use as alternatives. >> the mother of the missing woman whose remains were found in a wooded area and pasadena says she is devastated. police say the victim has been identified as 20-year-old desiccant lynn lee. our body was found in wooded rea earlier this month. fors mother is begging someone to come forward.

you yesterday and calling a scam targeting the elderly. baltimore city police said two more seniors fell victim today. a woman is calling the victims, impersonating a tax official, and tells them that someone will come to the house to collect outstanding tax payment. here's a look at the sketch resembling the suspect. in many cases, they robbed and attacked the victim. anyone with information, should contact the check and fraud unit. in tonight's medical alert, warning for the maryland department of health. officials confirmed six cases of swine flu in queen ann's county. five children and one adult have been affected with the same virus strain. a local victims have had direct contact with pigs. that is true of the other cases across the country. in rare cases, the virus seems to have spread from person to person but none have gone beyond that one or two people. they are on heightened
