ntsb is now at the scene. we begin with lowell melser of live at the scene. >> as you can imagine, this is an active scene, and will remain so for quite some time. to let you know where we are, this accident just happened off of main street. i am counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 coal cars on the side here. in the front, locomotives, where we saw engineers looking over those. 21 cars in all unfortunate. , there were two victims of the crash, and they have been identified as 19-year-old elizabeth nass, a student at jmu, and rose mayr, a student at the university of delaware did

retaining wall in main street. ironically, the train derailment is near where we saw this wall collapsed last year. there will be a news conference in the next hour to update us on what is going on here. in the meantime, we are learning more about the victims in this case. let's go back to the newsroom. jayne miller has that part of the story. >> autopsy results are not complete. according to a source familiar with the investigation, there is no indication to suggest that the two girls who died in the incident were hit by the train. instead, we are told they were buried in the coal that spelled out during the derailment. it is clear that the girls were sitting on the railroad bridge before the incident, tweeting pictures. did their presence on that

bridge contribute to the derailment if the train tried to avoid them? or was it a coincidence that they were there at the very spot at the same time something else caused the derailment, and they were caught by the crush of the spelling coal? all of these questions will be the focus of investigators, the ntsb, which routinely investigates these incidents involving transportation, trends, etc. they will be in charge of t investigation. we will throw it back to our helicopter, and skycam, and roy, what i and thought about today when i saw the breaking news on the morning show is the last time we had such a serious incident and elegance it was back in the 1980's, -- serious incident in ellicott city was back in the 1980's with that major fire. this probably more serious in terms of the damage and fatalities. >> csx will waste no time in
