heads to the caribbean and could become a threat to florida. the storm east of guadalupe is expected to grow into a hurricane and pass south of puerto rico. forecasters say it could approach south florida on monday. too soon to tell if it could have an impact on republican's national convention in tampa praer more than 50 buildings have been destroyed in a raging wildfire in northern california. it has scorched more than 20,000 acres and forced the evacuation of some 3,000 people. officials say the fire was sparked by lightning over the weekend. the blaze is one of about three dozen wildfires burning in the west. famed long distance swimmer diana nyad says giving up on her most recent bid from cuba to florida was devastating. she ended her attempt tuesday after enduring storms and jellyfish. the 63-year-old nyad says she's at a loss about giving into what she calls searing pain of

social security numbers already compromised, they have used for identity theft and that kind of thing. so i did some searching online to see if i could find a service to make sure that her number is clean. but then i realized i didn't want to give her number to just anybody. services or anything i could suggest that are reputable. >> she's already upset about it. sharon, what do you think? >> congratulations on the new baby, darrick. you're right. it's hard to believe but even babies can be the victims of identity theft. the issue is you want to check the social security number with the different credit buyers, experian, equifax, trans perrian. check the social security number, manually only. yes, you want to check a credit report that's definitely a red flag something is awry. the identity theft may occur if someone changes the name then you might not get a report with that social security number. better to check the number
