meeting was scheduled before the train derailment that made a mess of main street. business owners and neighbors came looking for answers about the status of the cleanup and to offer suggestions. >> if we can prevent people from getting on the right of way, i think that would be a benefit. >> mike smith has lived in the historic district for 17 years. he thinks the fence that sits along the train tracks should be ed.extend >> we can extend the length of the parking lot where there are bars located. we might prevent other children and people from gaining access to the tracks. it is an active train line. >> smith says he will continue to rally for changes at the tracks while business owners deal with parking issues and wait for main street to reopen. for most, that likely will not happen until the weekend. >> we rely heavily on foot traffic. you can only park on the outskirts.

he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, tan pants, and a white bge hardhart. a woman is charged with manslaughter in the death of for 91-year-old mother. sharon left her mother on the toilet for two days in january. they discovered the elderly woman. investigators say that she told officers she knew her mother was in the back but did not ask for help. a woman died 10 days later. she is out of jail on $100,000 bonds. this together say that kenyan woman wanted for abusing an elderly man will return to baltimore sometime tomorrow. back in august, 2007, city police charged the caretaker with beating john tayler. before she was to stand trial, she fled to kenya. faces multiple counts of

assault, abuse and reckless endangerment. the former washington redskin can collect workmen's compensation for a career ending back injury he suffered warming up for a preseason game in 2005. the maryland court of appeals ruled that events was shown that he suffered an accidental injury and he should be compensated. the court rejected the idea that football injuries should not be considered accidental because of the rough nature of the sport. 46-year-old played 18 seasons in the nfl. he never played again after the 2005 injury. it's still only august, but the orioles are making plans for october. season ticket holders will get first dibs on postseason tickets. pete gilbert joins us. that's odd to say.

this is a good thing that people decided to do. hopkins are doing a lot of the things for the city and the community. >> last year, they supplied uniforms to 120 students. they hope to give uniforms to 800 students this year. an interesting concept that is on a roll. a roll of toilet paper. brian and jordan are creators of toilet tissues with ads. jordan came up with the idea in 2010 after being bored sitting in the stall. the company supplies the toilet paper and advertisers pay for the privilege to be on a roll. >> an average advertisement is seen between 2- 5seconds. our advertisements are seen for 1-10 minutes.

forecast. >> other than a few isolated showers off during the late afternoon, it has been a quiet weather night across the mid- atlantic. dry again. the showers that pushed up out of virginia into parts of montgomery and howard counties. try to get into parts of anne arundel but fell apart on their way into the central part of the state. the showers are tractors south- central pennsylvania did not last long either. mostly clear skies. partly cloudy down to the south and east. mostly clear to the north and west. that will be the trend overnight and into the morning. we are holding at 2.42 interest for the month. a couple of hundreds of an inch above normal. for the fifth consecutive day, our high temperatures cooler than normal. 85 and 65. 79 in the downtown baltimore.

getting a little bit cooler to the north. 60's across southern pennsylvania. on the eastern shore, we are holding at 72. 67 in ocean city. and 69 at salisbury. as we had to the overnight, it should continue to be mostly clear and a little bit cooler with lows ranging from the upper 50's to the upper 60's downtown. patchy fog will develop in some spots with some temperatures cooling overnight. high pressure will dominate for the next several days. should be able to keep the weather nice going through the rest of the work week. this frontal boundary will generate some clouds but high- pressure close enough to keep a good deal of sunshine in our forecast. that means temperatures at or below normal. 82 to 87. on the bay, waves less than one foot. 11:19, the only high tide at

fort mchenry tomorrow. eastern shore, a little bit warmer and a good deal of sunshine thursday and friday. at the coast, including the beaches, comfortable, low 80's. now we have two systems in the tropics. this is a tropical depression that might be named joyce. it is the strongest storm into the caribbean named isaac. this storm is heading into the northern caribbean. make it stronger. winds at 45 miles an hour. moving west. should pass well to the south of puerto rico as the tropical storm becomes a hurricane as it moves to the north and west. that is a symbol for a tropical storm. it is not expected to become a hurricane. maybe if it gets up into the gulf. it is likely to pass south of puerto rican and south of hispanola. sunny to partly cloudy on
