>> good morning. we have picked up a water main break in the abingdon area of harford county. traffic is getting by one lane in each direction. you can take box filled south parkway to avoid that area. route 165, we have a crash near 543. those closures still in effect on main street in ellicott city. that is for the train derailment and the ongoing cleanup. the major roadways are checking out ok. we have six minutes on 95 northbound between 100 and the beltway. no delays at this early hour. this is the beltway at york road. things are moving in just fine

on the inner and the outer loop. north and southbound traffic on 97 is moving well. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> we have new details regarding breaking news. nine people including four children injured after a pair of boats collided. it happened just after 7:00 p.m. near sillery bay. witnesses say they could not believe what they were seeing. >> one boat was coming in at a high rate of speed and they seem to be approaching each other quickly. >> this was a terrible noise. it was like a bomb to me.

it was just like an explosion. >> one of the men injured was delegate don dwyer. three children were taken to hopkins pediatric trauma center. another boy was taken to hopkins e.r. the other two victims declined treatment. >> things are about to get back to normal in ellicott city. jennifer franciotti is live with the progress being made. >> a very active in seen on the train tracks behind me. you can see it appears csx workers are working on the last car that needs to be removed from the tracks. and has been fascinating to watch how they go about this. the investigation into the

we are expecting temperatures to stay that way into the start of the seven-day. >> thank you. csx crews are making progress in cleaning up the damage from the deadly freight train derailment. >> jennifer franciotti is in ellicott city this morning. we're hearing the trains should start running soon. >> that might be the case. the 6:00 a.m. deadline came and went. we watched csx crews remove the last of the train cars. some progress. not quite sure if they have some coal thtey need to remove from the train tracks. if we see a train, we will let you know. much more work to be done before roads can be reopened. investigation could still take weeks. this is came together last night

to talk about the crash and to come up with some possible safety solutions. >> we have been through hurricanes, floods, earthquake, and now the derailment. this is a tough group down on main street. battle-tested and we will open up and be stronger than ever. >> howard county executive ken ulman rallied community members at a town hall meeting held under a cloud of tragedy. the meeting was scheduled before the train derailment that made a mess of main street and took two teenagers' lives. business owners and neighborrs came looking for answers about the status of the cleanup and to offer some suggestions. >> if we can prevent people from getting on the right of way, i think that would be a huge benefit. >> mike smith has lived in the historic district for 17 years. he thinks the fence along part of the train tracks where the crash happened should be extended. >> the fence line could be extended and might prevent other people from gaining access to the tracks.

it's a very active train line. we had this tragedy happen three or four times before. >> business owners are dealing with parking issues as they wait for main street to reopen. >> we rely heavily on the foot traffic. right now, you can only park on the outskirts and then walk in. so as of that point, it is going to be a lot slower. >> i had a bummed moment when i heard it might be another 48 hours. oh, no. >> no word on when the roads will reopen. have the caterpillar equipment crossing the train tracks. that is over by a huge amount of coal. it seems the they are still removing some of the coal from the tracks before the trains can continue running.

csx planning at some point to have trains running once again. we have been told that a viewing for one of the girls killed in the deadly derailment, 19-year- old elizabeth nass, that review will be held in ellicott city tonight from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. >> a police-involved shooting along the eastern shore. this happened on wednesday evening. the person broke into a nearby home. then he escaped into a field. a police officer located the suspect and fatally shot him. >> police are searching for a suspect posing as a b.g.e. worker. the imposter assaulted an elderly man on east baltimore street.

the suspect said he needed to check an electrical panel in the basement. the suspect pulled a gun and a struggle took place. the suspect then fled the scene. he is believed to be between 25 and 30 years of age and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and a neon yellow b.g.e. vast and hart hdhat. >> one complex is forcing tenants to get rid of their pit bulls. they must be removed from the property immediately. lamb was are liable to damages if pit bulls attacks on their property. >> these are innocent families
