after 7:00 on wednesday night. according to the department of natural resources, there were nine victims, including five children and four adults. >> one was coming at a higher rate of speed. the other had a child in a tube. they approached each other quickly. i was thinking why it is one not turning? >> don dwyer was taken to shock trauma and is in stable condition. train service is expected to be off and running in ellicott city after a deadly but irrelevant. 11 news has been following the development. authorities say the investigation could take weeks. ellicott city community members gathered for a town hall meeting where business owners

>> the college student who posted threats against president obama on facebook will spend zero time behind bars. he was sentenced to four months of home confinement and 350 hours of community service. he pleaded guilty in may. the sentence comes one day after a man was arrested for making e- mail threats against the president. today marks one year sie our region was rattled by an earthquake that hit southwest of washington, d.c., and cost structural damage to monuments. people as far away as north carolina and chicago reported feeling the tremors.

with not one, but two storms to watch. isaac has winged sustained at 40 miles an hour. there has not been any strengthening, but it is a tropical storm nonetheless. there are concerns for haiti, then eventually cuba, and it could head into florida. the bigger concern is on the caribbean. behind it, tropical storm joyce, born over the last couple of hours. this is taking a westerly track, but is likely to steer to the north, keeping it away from the east coast for now. that is good news. isaac is still a real threat. ocean city is pretty quiet, but a 20% chance for storms, which is an 80% chance it will stay dry.
