>> thank you. a star like a mission from a delicate involved in a serious boating accident. >> delegate don dwyer admits to drinking. jennifer franciotti joins us with more details. any word on possible charges? >> not yet. we're not sure if any charges will be filed in this case. he made very few statements and refused to answer any questions. he did reveal how high is blood alcohol content was when tested. with a neck brace and a cast on his foot, state delegate don dwyer made a confession to the media. >> it is true that i was drinking while operating my boat yesterday. it's also been reported that my blood alcohol content was .2. >> dwyer and six other people including several children were injured in a boating accident along the magothy river just west of gibson island. officials still haven't

released the names of all of the victims, but they say they are suffering from cuts and bruises and broken bones. all are expected to be ok. the accident is still under investigation. officials think the two boats were on a collision course. >> there is no two ways about it. there were two boats headed kind of towards one other and they ran into one another. both were at traveling speeds. >> i deeply regret my actions and i ask for forgiveness from the public. my heart and prayers go out to the family that was involved in the incident, and i pray for them to have a speedy recovery. >> 11 news has since learned who dwyer's passenger was during the accident. umbc has confirmed that it was john moran, a university police officer who was off duty. according to umbc, moran will not face any disciplinary action. sources tell 11 news that investigators are checking drink tabs at a popular eastern shore bar where witnesses allegedly say they saw dwyer before the accident. outside of shock trauma, dwyer urged people not to drink and drive while on the road and on the water.
