bay bridge. light street is closed in advance of the grand prix. we have closed at hanover. monument street is closed near patterson park. that is for the sinkhole that is being repaired. the b-w parkway, 60 miles per hour. moving well on 97. problem free on 95 in howard county. 11 minutes on the outer loop northeast side. 10 minutes to go south of 95 from the beltway down towards 32. here's a quick, live look at traffic. very light volume so far this morning. it is early. the j.f.x. checking out fine at ruxton road from the beltway into town. no problems on the harrisburg expressway.

that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> hurricane isaac is causing problems for new orleans this morning. >> we have the latest on how the storm is affecting local areas in louisiana. >> the wind is howling right now. we are still in the extreme eastern portion. we're just off of old spanish trail. this is the entrance to treasure island subdivision in this area. we cannot get back there right now. the water across the highway has this road back into the subdivision under water. as you can see in the back, there is no power.

as long as the wind keeps pushing the power, the folks back and treasure island and some of the other subdivisions will have some real problems. they probably have some real problems right now. this is a subdivision down this road. whoever is back there is not able to get out. we cannot get in. the sheriff's office got us this far. we will turn around and go back and give you a look at another area in a few minutes. >> new details in the shooting at perry hall high school. police say robert gladden jr. is the student who shot a fellow classmate monday morning. jennifer franciotti has the latest on the investigation. >> all indications that back-to-

school yesterday went off without a hitch. the suspect is 15-year-old robert gladden, a sophomore at the school. heat is being charged as an adult. he rode the bus to school on monday with a disassembled shotgun inside his backpack. police say two shots were fired inside the school cafeteria at lunch time. one student is listed in critical condition. people are trying to make positive. >> it is important we stayed together. just because one thing happened, it cannot ruin our perry hall

50's and lower 60's. mostly sunny skies today. about as nice as it gets for this time of year. high temperature around 84 degrees. we'll come back and give you the latest on isaac and take our forecast into the weekend. >>two people are dead after it late-night shooting out in the west virginia. police say they suspect shot the trooper. the suspect then took off and got into a another shootout. the suspect was shot this time. several passengers saved a mega bus from crashing on the pennsylvania turnpike. riders noticed that the bus was swerving.

careful in the northbound direction. we have closures in effect in advance of the grand prix at light street. portions of hanover and hopkins place shut down between pratt and lombard. some delays along monument street because of the sinkhole repair. 11 minutes on the outer loop northeast side and on the west side. moving well down towards 32. here's a quick, live look at traffic. yesterday we had a major mess with delays leading up to the bay bridge. everything is getting along fine in each direction. 97 at generals highway, not seeing any delays. we will keep you posted on the accident northbound. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. now let's get the latest on the buses and the trains.

80 miles per hour. the east side of the hurricane be.he worst place tod all of that water piling into new orleans and it is still coming on sure now. one of the levies just broken. a significant storm surge. this will not be like a dream that bill will start to see it big time damage reports -- this will not be like katrina. a different story at home. we have high pressure from the great lakes that will take control for the next two or three days. a beautiful set up towards the end of the week. dew points in the upper 50's and

jr. is charged as an adult in this case. according to his attorney, he did not plan to shoot anyone. robert gladden jr. is being held at the detention center without bail. he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault. police say he rode a bus to school and had a double barrel shotgun in his backpack along with 21 rounds of ammunition. two rounds were fired inside the school's cafeteria, one of them hitting a student who remains in critical condition at shock trauma. >> he is so sweet. i just love him. >> police say the boy acted

alone. his attorney said his client did not intend to hurt anyone. he believes the gun went off accidentally when gladden was rushed by teachers. he may have brought the gun to school to intimidate bullies. alumni association has set up an account to help daniel's family with his medical expenses. >> we wanted to be able to use that account for people to send funds to the family. >> day 90's family has issued a statement thinking everyone for their support, especially those who acted so quickly on monday. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> many students could face possibly long lasting effects from the shooting. a doctor encourages parents and

like it is getting stronger. what happens is the east side of the storm piles all this water into the city of new orleans. a lot of new orleans is at or below sea water. the threat for tornadoes and the wind. one of the levees did break in the city of new orleans. this will not be like katrina but you'll see a significant damage reports around the city of new orleans. the eye is just now coming onshore. they will have these conditions for the next several hours. much more quiet hero home. we will have a beautiful day today and probably tomorrow and keep that activity along the gulf coast.
