emerging in connection with monday's shooting inside perry hall high school. >> at the attorney for the suspects as that his client brought a gun to school only to intimidate and that he had no intention of pulling the trigger. >> the attorney says that his client is a nice young man, an intelligent teenager who has no prior contact with the criminal- justice system. he says he is extremely sorry for everything that's happened and his thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family. >> in his heart of hearts he had no intention of hurting anyone. >> begich attorney says he has only had a brief interview with him since monday. the suspect is charged with attempted murder in connection with firing a shotgun in a school cafeteria, which critically wounded a special need student. >> why did he take a gun to school? >> i do not think he

surveillance video from towson town mall took center stage wednesday at the murder trial for 19-year-old rodney pridget. he was shot outside the nordstrom's at the mall on december 19 during the busy haub -- shopping center -- shopping season. these two are the first to go on trial. four have been charged. detectives detail police interviews with williams, in which he spoke willingly with police and identified himself and other suspects in surveillance video. police testified that a further identified him wearing bright tennis shoes, frank williams wearing a distinctive and hootie and jacket, and baggy clothing. the prosecutor said that the victims of a man at the mall and called the others to the mall. -- that the suspects saw the victim at the mall and called the other two to the mall.

there was interaction inside the mall to when the suspects leave the mall. the cross-examination starts thursday morning. >> police have said that they believed tyrone brown is the triggerman in this case. he is set to go on trial in a couple of weeks. >> the man convicted of killing cockeysville native yeardley love will learn his fate this week. george huguely is expected to be sentenced tomorrow. lowell melser cover the trial in february. he is back in charlottesville with a preview. >> prosecutors with the commonwealth's attorney's office expect tomorrow's hearing to be pretty cat and dry. while the drug -- the judge could actually lower his sentence, it is unlikely. the jury heard the case, came up with the verdict, and the sentencing. >> after months of appeals and various court appearances, a

convicted murderer george huguely will enter court thursday facing 26 years in prison for killing 22-year-old yeardley love. a jury listened to weeks of the emotional and graphic testimony and took a little more than nine hours to render its verdict. the charges are second-degree murder, which the jury remained -- recommended 25 years, and grand larceny, which the jury recommended one year. during the trial, the prosecution presented the case that huguely, after spending the day in a drug haze, went to love's apartment that night and burst through the door and struck her some way causing her death. the defense tried to claim her death was an accident. seems the jury believed someone that huguely never intended to kill her. it will be up to the judge if the jury's recommendation should be held up. he does have the opera -- the

option to lower the 26 years, but cannot raise it. it is believe that given the sentencing guidelines, when it comes to huguely, it is definitely possible that judge could knock off some of those years. but it is still possible he could leave things the way they are. >> and no matter what the judge decides, parole will not be an option, as virginia did away with parole in the mid-1990s. we are live in charlottesville. >> funeral services were held today for heldscunny mccusker. family and friends came to say goodbye to them and who opened the natural in canton. he was a big part of revitalizing canton. he was hit by a bus while riding a bike in ocean city friday

and 78 and hancock. temperatures are mostly in the low 80's. 76 at ocean city. a nice looking evening at a bus as high-pressure gases from the great lakes to new england. it will keep the weather looking pretty much like it did today again tomorrow. on friday, this high pressure system will be off the coast and it will start to warm up a little bit. as we get into the weekend, the remnants of i get -- is it will be turning to the east. isaac is still a healthy storm. gusts of 58 miles per hour. all the way into northern louisiana. the rain has been torrential. indicatingblotches' a foot of rain has already come down in the past couple of days. a good 4-8 inches of rain south

and east. lesser amounts for parts of central louisiana, but they are not done with the rain yet. it will continue to night into tomorrow, and finally push into arkansas, missouri, and illinois where they need the rain. they will take it. it is turning to the east through the ohio valley sunday into monday. that is when some of the moisture starts to approach us. beautiful weather tomorrow and friday with lots of sunshine. saturday afternoon, we start to see the moisture from isaac pushing into the mountains to our west. by saturday night, a chance that some of those isaac-enhanced showers start to make their way into the baltimore area. tomorrow, though, a gorgeous day. sunny skies, low humidity, warm temperatures, highs of 82-87. the winds will be shifting 5 to 10 knots and waves about 1 foot.
