connected with a shooting outside towson center mall last year. >>uring closing arguments, prosecutors contended the defendants together a killing team, complete with spotters in the getaway driver. according to court testimony, frank williams ordered by hit against the 19-year-old. williams heard that pritchett shot his cousin. his co-defendant struck a deal for his testimony, which implicated tyrone brown, the alleged shooter in the case. they put together a crew for the job. the jury watched a videotape of detective jim lambert interviewing ward, who adamantly denied any knowledge of the

crime. the detective told him that they had surveillance tape showing how they pointed out the victim to a man in a gray sweat shirt. the police interview revealed that ward pass to brown in the mall. "you look back at him, turned around. you pointed to where he walked. he, brown, walked outside and killed him." williams was characterized as a dumb and stupid fall guy. the attorney took aim at the state's evidence and their expert witness. they say the police, knowing they were on a high-profile case, work backwards from the conclusion. >> thank you, david. be 15-year-old -- the 15-year- old suspect in the perry hall

shooting is in custody. the victim, daniel borowy, remains in critical condition. doctors describe the hole in his right just as being in the size of a dinner plate. they are working to close that whole. daniel has had a breathing tube for most of the week. we have a live report from perry hall high school as students prepare for the first school football game since the tragedy. >> obviously, we're pulling for daniel. >> dozens of nursing-home residents weltering in a baltimore facility with a broken air conditioner. >> now we learn that nursing home is shut down for good. >> and evidence of hurricane isaac's fury scattered all over the gulf coast. >> we know of

recover. in new orleans, back to your. >> it is amazing what a category one hurricane can do. 20 inches of rain down there, tournedos. the storm surge. and hurricane isaac is hitting a drought-parched part of the country. mississippi is welcoming whatever is left of isaac. parts of illinois and iowa. is interesting to look at the water vapor here. you look at the moisture and where it is cut off by the area of high-pressure. it was a beautiful day today. you see that area of low pressure and it hit that wall there in west virginia. that is an area of low pressure parked over the eastern coast of the united states. that will be over the coast over the next 24 hours as the cold front comes in from the northwest. there is high pressure off the coast, and what is left of

isaac, at least some of the moisture from the storm, is going to drift to the east. when we say the remnants of is it are going to visit us, we need to clarify that -- the remnants of isaac are going to visit us, we need to clarify that. we do not expect a tropical storm. but it was a beautiful day today. as i said at the top of the show, the dew point is in the upper 50's and low 60's. 98 at the airport. the forecast for the rest of the night -- expect mostly clear skies, mild conditions. temperatures drop into the upper 60's 270 degrees. we have the second full moon of the month tonight. what happens when you have a two full moons in one month? you get a blue moon. it happens every three years. the next one will be in 2015.

hence the phrase "once in a blue moon." the high temperature is about 89. if you're going to take the boat out, variable winds. b which is about 1 foot. if you are heading to the ocean this weekend, temperatures will hang around 80 degrees for a high, it looks like. the rip current risk will below. even though there are some tropical winds and the atlantic, i do not think that will be a problem at ocean city. we will take rain at 40% sunday and monday. this will not be a washout situation with what is left of hurricane isaac coming through here. temperatures will stay in the low 80's for friday of next week. >> well, just a few hours after the raven's final preseason

trying to deal. the first game of the season is tonight, a home game against st. paul's. there has been an outpouring of support. all along belair road and perry hall, local churches and businesses have expressed their concern over the shooting. there have been plenty of prayers'. over the weekend, this restaurant is donating a portion of its profits to the victim's family. >> everyone is very upset. we are very upset. this is a nice community. we love perry hall. >> patrons are pitching in. some are just now learning about the plans. >> i did not know. i did not see it advertised. i happened to be passing by and i saw it. >> i think that is wonderful. it is a tragedy in the community. >> the parents talk about their

sky team 11 over the scene of an accident in baltimore county. the collision happened in the westview area. the collision involved a police cruiser and another vehicle. and officer was transported -- an officer was transported to shock trauma. we have just learned that those injuries were not life- threatening. stay tuned for late breaking developments. >> spectators piling in for the opening of the baltimore grand prix. the view from sky team 11 shows at the inner harbor downtown. the qualifying races started about 20 minutes ago. they go through 7:00 tonight. organizers claim the downtown area will not be as congested this time around as people expect, because some people who live downtown are leaving for the weekend. some 750,000 marylanders are

our. -- the hour. >> covering the nation, a vigil in memory of two students killed in a supermarket shooting this morning. the gunman was a former marine. tyler left his ship around 3:30 this morning and returned a half-hour later with a handgun and an assault rifle. he fired at least 16 rounds from the rifle, killing an 18-year- old woman and a 24-year-old man. there are new allegations denied that widespread cheating is at harvard university. the school is investigating the cases, involving nearly half of the students in undergraduate class is last spring -- the undergraduate classes last spring. of harvard's administrative board is investigating. those found guilty of academic

into missouri. this is a hard hit part of the country. you know they want the rain at their. this is a tropical favor. it hits the wall in west virginia. there is a big area of high pressure. that is going to slide up the coast of the next 24 hours. that this is a chance for a thunderstorm, but more importantly, it will open the door to the tropical moisture, what is left of isaac. not the storm itself. i do not want to make it sound like we have a tropical storm coming through here. we have the chance for storms. not tonight. temperatures dropping into the upper 60's and low 70's. starting tonight, only a 20% chance of a shower. if you are going out tonight, i do not think you have to worry about the rain. if you're taking the boat out tomorrow, should be a good one for that.

variable winds. if you're going on to the new ocean, the best chance for rain will be sunday and monday. even then it will not be a washout. you can still get plenty of sunshine at the beach. scattered showers and thunderstorms sunday and monday, but i emphasize the word "scattered." that everybody is going to see the rain. is not going to be a washout for the weekend. it will clear out on thursday and friday. consumer alert, two major national airlines are one step closer to a potential merger. american airlines and u.s. airways are confirming they have signed legal documents that allow them to confidentially exchange information. that does not mean the merger is definite, but it does mean they have agreed to work together to consider joining forces. frequent flyer miles would
