crash wednesday evening. his cruiser overturned in pasadena just before 9:00 p.m. he was treated for non-life- threatening injuries. the rainy weather may have played a role in the crash. funeral services will be held tomorrow for a police officer. officer forrest taylor had his cruiser colliding with another vehicle. he died last week after complications from surgery. >> a recent report of west nile virus has authorities taking steps. nadia ramdass is live in milford mill with that story. good morning. >> good morning. state agriculture officials are stepping up their efforts to

control the mosquito population by spraying those affected neighborhoods in the coming weeks. they are spraying here at milford mill. milford mill is just one neighborhood that has shown evidence of the west nile virus. that's where crews will concentrate their efforts tonight. they will start spraying for mosquitoes around 7:30 p.m. tonight around campfield road. if you live in that area, officials are urging you to stay inside during the spraying. >> the idea is that we will get in there and the sprays will knock down the mosquito population, which is most likely carrying the virus, and of course this reduces human exposure. >> in addition to milford mill, the harundale marley area of anne arundel county will also be sprayed in the coming weeks. to see a map of those areas, go to our website, wbaltv.com. nadia ramdass, wbal-tv 11 news.

>> thank you. a man is facing a host of the drug charges after his young son ingested a dangerous amount of methadone. his son stopped breathing after apparently swallowing the drug. police recovered cocaine, marijuana, and math that amphetamines and two weapons -- methamphetamines. >> the investigation into last month's train development in ellicott city. officials have ruled out speed and weather as a contributing to the accident. two college students died when they were buried by coal.

up early next week. temperatures dropped into the 50's during the overnight period. 6:15. >> good morning. a few problems in harford county. route one is shut down because of an overnight accident. the investigation continues near route 1. avoid that by taking 95 this morning. on 95, southbound 95 the past 543, an accident is off the right shoulder. things are moving well out of the white marsh area. 61 pass 70 towards baltimore national pike. on 97, average speeds around 62. this is 95 south of 543. traffic is flowing just fine.

295 southbound is picking up in volume. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> thank you. four people are dead after a collision between a school bus and a tractor-trailer. both drivers and two passengers on the bus were killed. the sheriff's office has not revealed any more information about the crash. a tornado swept through wisconsin on tuesday night. it had winds up to 120 miles per hour. no one was inside at the time of the twister and no reports of any serious injury. two masked gunmen kidnapped a bank manager in an early morning

robbery on wednesday. a device was strapped to her waist which they claimed was a bomb. the robbers got away and the bomb turned out to be a fake. >> the nation's biggest online store is challenging one of the biggest streaming movie services. amazon.com signed a deal with epix. the deal will bring popular movie-o amazon's streaming service. netflix can offer epix content through next year. more than half of americans who use mobile apps have

from charlotte. we're expecting to see outside the bank of america stadium, not inside. >> right. president obama is speaking on the stage inside because of the threat of thunderstorms. some say it is not about where he speaks to what he says. instead of president obama speaking to about 74,000 people here, it will be more like 15,000 here, an audience which will include a new york delegate. >> i think the message should be that we are one country. united we stand, divided we fall. >> that message may be a hard sell where unemployment is over 8%.

nadia ramdass joins us live with more. when will the spraying began? >> it starts tonight at 7:30. state agriculture officials are stepping up their efforts to control the mosquito population by spraying those affected neighborhoods in the coming weeks. they are spraying here at milford mill. this woman had been paying close attention to her mosquito bites. there has been confirmed evidence of the west nile virus in her millford mill neighborhood. she is rethinking her safety. >> it is kind of scary. i get bit a lot. i had six mosquito bites. i've been watching the stuff on the news. i'm wondering, "oh, gosh, do i have it?" it is very scary. >> because millford mill has evidence of west nile, the state agriculture department will spray the affected area around 7:30 tonight. officials are urging anyone who lives in a one-mile radius

around campfield road and reisterstown road to avoid going outside during the spraying. >> the idea is that we will get in there and the sprays will knock down the mosquito population, which is most likely carrying the virus, and of course this reduces human exposure. >> they need to do what they have to do. so i'm happy. i mean, if it's going to stop it and more people won't die or get sick from this, then do what you have to do. >> but milford mill is not the only area that is apparently at risk. state officials say there's been west nile virus activity in the city, baltimore county, northern anne arundel county, prince george's county, montgomery county, and the eastern shore. in addition to millford mill, the arundel marley area of anne arundel county will also be sprayed for mosquitoes in the coming weeks. -- the harundale marley area.
