crash on route 50 in annapolis. no word on the identities of the victims. families and friends will be paying their respects to a fallen sheriff's deputy. charles licato was killed when he lost control of his cruiser and slammed into two trees near route 1 at the conowingo dam. funeral services will be held on wednesday. a police officer is dead. marcus anderson was on board a party boss on 95 around 3:15 saturday morning. -- charles armetta was on board a party bus on 95 around 3:15

saturday morning. >> it was another violent weekend in the city. officers were brought to kent street on saturday and found a victim shot multiple times. he was pronounced dead a couple of hours later at shock trauma. two men were shot on goal street. one man died of his injuries -- two men were shot on goal ld street. a funeral will be held this morning on old frederick road for a person who was shot. she was struck by a bullet that was fired down the block presumably at somebody else.

>> are you ready for some football? the ravens take the field tonight for their season opener against cincinnati. kim dacey is live this morning. >> the game tonight is important because it sets the stage for the rest of the season for the ravens. it is also the first time the ravens will play since the death of art modell last week. on saturday, m&t bank stadium was filled with hundreds of people paying their respects to the original ravens owner. he died last week. his flag-draped casket was placed at the 50-yard line along with the lombardi trophy from the ravens 2001 super bowl win. tonight there will be several tributes to modell at the game, including a moment of silence. players will wear decals honoring modell on the back of their helmets. coaches will wear pins bearing his name. before the game, michael phelps will also be honored as an honorary captain. after winning two games in the preseaon, the ravens players are ready and confident it will be another good year.

this morning control of the prison was handed over to afghanistan authorities in what is called a victory for afghanistan sovereignty. nearly 100 people are dead in one of the deadliest days in iraq since the u.s. poll data that country. 92 people and hundreds were injured -- since the u.s. pulled out of that country. no one has come forward to claim responsibility for the attacks -- 92 dead and hundreds were injured. >> gas prices continue to climb. an average price of $3.84 per gallon.
