live on the scene with more details. >> some are very tense moments here. the 13-year-old did bring a gun to school at stemmers run middle school, just near eastern boulevard at the exit at 702. we have a video from the scene, and we see parents showing up. they got word by way of a telephone call from the school. it was the heroic efforts of a classroom teacher who knocked the gun out of the students at hand. certainly this comes just about two weeks since the perry hall high school incident, in which a student was shot. we were able to talk with a student who said he was in that class at the time of the incident. >> we were casually sitting in the classroom, and at the student left to go to the bathroom for 20 minutes, and then he came back and he was kind of teared up, and the

teacher was like, what's wrong, and that he pulled the gun out, and she was like, put the gun down, put the gun down. he started swinging at around and ended it people, and he aimed it at the teacher, and then he aimed it at a different student. and then the teacher stepped in front of that student -- >> what was going through your mind when you are seeing all of this? >> i had grown up with the boy, i had known him since elementary school. >> you are hearing from a student who says he was in the classroom in which the 13-year- old brought that down to the classroom. the teacher at. knocked the gun out of the student's -- the teacher at that point not to the gun out of the student's had traded very tense moments. stemmers run middle school is on

lockdown for a time. a 13-year-old student brings a gun and shows that are around his classroom. no one was hurt. tim tooten, wbal-tv 11 news. >> now to our other big story, the founding father of ravens football being laid to rest. funeral proceedings are under way as family members and friends give their final goodbyes to art modell. barry simms is live outside the baltimore hebrew congregation with more. >> family friends, ravens players are saying goodbye to art modell. he is being remembered for his jokes, his smile, bringing professional football back to baltimore, his many civic contributions, and his contributions to the national football league.

rabbi andrew busch spoke of the full tapestry of his life, and tributes came from ray lewis, mardell's sons, and nfl commissioner roger goodell, who said that the nfl was lucky to have art modell. >> he was one of those owners that really got involved in the nfl, and he made it better. he was always there and he was always important to the league. i think i have a better understanding of the importance. >> why he isn't in the hall of fame, that is unbelievable. all that this man has done all the way down the line, not only in football, but out of football, where he has been a giver, not a taker. >> a former baltimore colts said

he had to be here for this funeral because of the french and the respect he had for art modell -- because of the friendship and the respect he had for art modell. barry simms, wbal-tv 11 news. >> baltimore county police have identified the elderly couple murdered in pikesville yesterday. they were found dead in their home at the 800 block of homestead road. police say they did recover a weapon at the scene but are not identifying it at this time. the couple has an adult grandson who lives in the home. police say that that man is missing and they are trying to locate him at this hour. today marks the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3000 people. in new york, a focus on hea ling is leading to smaller memorials than previous years.

>> at ground zero, the member -- the remembrance ceremony began with bagpipes. and the presentation of the world trade center flag, still holding on after 11 years. the family members of those killed in the september 11 terrorist attacks began reading the names of the nearly 3000 people lost. hundreds crowded around the reflecting pool in place of the fall and world trade towers -- fallen world trade towers. among the faces were several politicians, but none of them were allowed to speak. president obama participated in a moment of silence on the white house south lawn and attended a ceremony at the pentagon. >> as painful as this day is and always will be, it leaves us with a lesson, that no single

as far as pollen counts go, not too much. one thing you may notice if you are enjoying a pleasant day. otherwise, no major concerns. fifties in the downtown area. we will have many clear skies overnight. that is the transfer much of our seven-day -- this is the trend throughout much of our seven-day forecast. maybe some rain chances come in. that is far into the distance.
